I currently use MAC select moisture cover in NW 15. (Foundation in NC15.) I'm not too happy with it because it seems to give me a reverse-raccoon eye effect. (I now have white circles under my eyes.) I've tried touche éclat, Clinique, Benefit, and Lorac concealers but they are either too light or too peachy for me. Does anyone know of any good concealers for under eye circles? I think I need something a bit heavier, but am not sure what/where to look...
That orange thing happens to me too ... perhaps you have pink rather than yellow undertones as I do? It's so important to match the undertone. Some makeup counters in their vast ignorance will sell a pink person a yellow foundation to 'counteract' the pink, even if the pink person specifically asks them not to. Your natural undertone does not need to be counteracted
Does anyone know if Bourjois foundations are pink toned or yellow toned?
I have the Healthy Mix one and it's perfect match for me but it looks a little pink while I always thought I had yellow undertones...
Also while we're on the subject does anyone know how to work out undertones? Lots of different places tell you different things and it gets confusing!
Bourjois usually do both pink and yellow based foundations. I think 51 Vanille Clair is supposed to be yellow based and 52 Vanille is pink based.
which one did you get?
Also OT but do you post in off_thehighstreet?
me? yeah, occasionally. hmmm think my name is "teclo" something.
I use a Smashbox stick concealer under my eyes and it works really well. It's quite heavy which is nice because some things like Touche Eclat seem to be water based and I find they can make my skin look a bit dry. The smashbox concealer is yellow based which counteracts the blueness under my eyes quite well.
