I don't like the material she chose. All the shiny fabrics look cheap and tacky. There is nothing refined about this collection.

Well, it's Paris. You can't really expect her to design anything else. It's a simple formula really. Take clothes out of closet. Find the trashiest/tackies/flashiest. Make a couple replicas of them. Attach name. Voila. Paris's new line.

a chinese wholesale company sent her a catalogue of stuff that is "IN" right now, meaning that everyone is actually doing those things. her people flipped through that catalogue, chose the pieces most likely to end up on Paris herself (though she would never consider stuffing that junk into her own closet), Paris goes through the selection while she's driving to get some Starbucks or get her Herpes treated, calls her people, says "That's hot.".
