Paris shopping

^ oh there are so many..here are a few I like:

Le Baron - avenue Marceau
Le Paris Paris- avenue de l'Opera
Le Tryptyque- rue Montmartre
Le VIP Room- Champs Elysees

VIP is the best
Maison blanche on saturdays
Neo is also great and has the hardest door as they say...but its closed till mid jan i think
BC ( very small- but lotsw of celebs go there) i suggest u go have dinner and then go downstairs to the tiny club
avoid caberet at all costs...crap.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply! But do you know where the closet metro's are to those clubs? :flower: :flower: :flower:

well if you have a long and good night out, the metro stations will be closed after around midnight

otherwise, depends on which club you wanna go to..

^ Thats okay.

Well prob start going out around 10-11pm and come back home around 5-6am. Ill prob go to Paris Paris, VIP and BC, Maison Blanche or maybe all of them suggested...

^ I'm not sure actually :ninja: It's either 16 or 18...but some 13-14 year olds in France already drink wine with their parents during dinner. I think they never ask for your age.

Is anyone familiar with the Martin Grant store in Paris? I'll be in Paris in March, and I was wondering what are the chances I'll be able to find something from the Fall 2006 collection there. Specifically, I'm looking for this:

Thanks!

I was actually interested in the same coat, but they are no longer available. However, at the atelier they told me they could make one to order but that would be quite pricey. Otherwise other fall/winter pieces still available are discounted.

So is it possible for a 17-year old to (somewhat easily) get into a club like Paris Paris?

Also, are there any sites or books with a lot of vintage stores recommendations?

can anyone recommend a good dry-cleaner (preferably in 1st-4th)?...
one you'd feel safe leaving your marni dresses alone with..
 ^_^

I'm in Paris for the very first time, and I have found that unless you have the money to buy designer clothing there is nothing in between the expensive and the trashy. I've been to Galleries Lafayette, Champs Elysees and such just to look, but I don't know where to look for affordable and fashionable clothing...I've set tomorrow aside for shopping so hopefully I will have some luck.

totally agree
i dont know where ppl on this board find the money to go to paris and splurge like crazy at like, louis vuitton
im a student and i dont have THAT kind of money. also, even lovely brands (not haute couture) like maje, vanessa bruno, et vous..., zadig et voltaire, ARE FREAKING EXPENSIVE. 200 euros for a shirt....ish. thats half my rent in Paris.

the sales though

Yes dont come to Paris with a tight budget.

Its expensive but I think its worth it. They dont sell clothes like that anywhere else.

lemeray..as a parisienne...I prefer new york shopping to paris shopping 100 times better...I find myself shopping alot online for more options...paris is good imo for accessories..like designer bags and whatnot...but even the french louboutin has the worst collection in his two boutiques...never have i bought one louboutin nfrom paris.......

Never been to New York but dying to go.

Yes I saw the Louboutin store in Paris and thought what the hell is the hype about with this brand, thanks for explaining...

What are the best areas for shopping in Paris? And streets, nearest stations, etc
Thanks!

cheap, Im not a metro girl, but ill tell u streets..
Faubourg st.honore and continue on to rue st.honore..designers and fun boutiques
ave.montaigne for designers (must stop at montaigne market and chrome hearts)
rue etienne marcel..mix of fun, vintage, bargains, and some designers
rue grenelle in st.germain..and in general the whole area of st,germain is my fave for shopping as it has everything and it has le bone marche..good department store
you have the opera where you can find two huge department stores...
thats all I can think off...happy shopping!
i would suggest you cover the 8th,5th,6th,1st,3rd,7th and some of the 9th for shopping..its all over!
