Paris shopping

guys, I am reading the thread and also planning my trip in Paris...on Balenciaga website, the boutique address is:
10, avenue Georges V
75008 Paris
But I couldn't locate it by using google map. Could you point out if the format of the address is wrong? where exactly is it? thank you!

try http://www.hot-maps.de/europe/france/paris/homeen.html , by typing avenue George V I did get the right info ;) It's a sidestreet of the Champs Elysée, there's even a metro station called George V

GUYS-
when you come here to paris MUST go to le bon marche- i was there today to buy some things for my house and had to control my self on all the great stock- its much more better and carries amazing designers and stocks- so go there-forget printemps and lafayette :)

Thank you so much! Karma!:woot: :flower:

Thanx for the karma! :flower: Have fun shopping there!

au bon marché seems to be the fav of Parisians, but for me as a tourist I found Lafayette more impressive (mainly because of the size though) and I didn't pay that much attention to the clothing&brands rather than the interior :innocent: gotta go again and check...

I definetely prefer Le Bon Marché, too. As a foreigner you get 10% at Printemps so I go there if I've spotted anything in specific. But for browsing I always choose Le Bon Marché. Their food department, La Grande Épicerie, is amazing as well. I can spend hours in there. And I never leave without buying anything  :innocent: ...

Did anyone go to the new Miu Miu store on Honoré yet? I think I'll be going sometimes this week to have a look at it. :woot:

well, I remeber a parisian lady told me that Le Bon Marché, Printemps & Lafayette are all the same , so no need to bother.. one of them would be enough.. well accoding to her !!??

I will be in Paris for Christmas this year. Does anyone know if the stores are open on Christmas Eve? (daytime) Also....will most stores be open on the 26th? (the day after Christmas)

:flower:

I'm going to Paris at the end of this month and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good vintage jewelry shop/flea market. I'm interested in Victorian mourning jewelry, Edwardian jewelry, bohemian garnets, etc. Also modern handmade jewelry of the sort that Barney's carries - but not so expensive - LOL.

I'm probably going to purchase a bag at Goyard but I'm open to other suggestions.

Also does anyone know if Lavin jewelry is less exepensive than in the US? I love their costume jewelry but don't love the prices. Any other French brands that have similar costume jewelry?

Merci!

ya get VAT back and its 12% if you buy more than 180€ i think.. not too bad!

i agree that bon marché is a must

collette bores me though..
if you want clothes dont go there.
it is impossible to buy there as it always packed with tourists and no actual clothes except on the mannequins... yawn

^ they should have it at Kokon to Zai on Rue Tiquetonne. I think they stock his womens wear only

Apart from L'Eclaireur.. where else can I get Ann Demeulemeester? :)

^ they have a small selection at Le Printemps and also at Maria Luisa. But L'eclaireur has the best selection IMO.

I plan to visit paris soon i just wonder,if i go paris, can i buy the chanelbag in cheaper price than NY ?
