Beer poured on Peaches' head
POLICE came to PEACHES GELDOF’S rescue last night after a male clubber threw a drink over her.
Furious pals, including best mate FIFI BROWN, chased after the assailant. The club’s management called cops, who then calmed the situation at the Bungalow 8 night spot in London.
Peaches requested that no charges be brought.
An eyewitness told The Sun: “Peaches arrived around 2am and was having a good time.
“But then she had a disagreement with a male punter over a pair of shoes. She thought they belonged to her friend, when in fact they belonged to his mate.
“Everything seemed sorted but then he came back later and poured his beer over her head.
“He pushed the glass towards her face and then threw it against the wall.
“As he tried to leave the club, Fifi ran out after him and security got involved.
“After a call from the manager, officers came down and spoke to all the parties involved.
“After around 30 to 40 minutes, the police left and both parties were smiling.
“By the end Peaches was laughing about it.”
There were further rumours from revellers leaving the club, located in the basement of St Martins Lane Hotel, that Peaches started the fight by throwing a shoe. It was also claimed that the man tossed his pint glass directly at her.
Both have been fiercely disputed by other sources inside the club.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Officers were summoned to a club in St Martin's Lane at about 2.45am and spoke to a number of people concerning an allegation of assault.
“However, the allegation could not be substantiated so no further action will be taken.”
