Perez Hilton Sued By The Paparazzi

Whoah who is the hottie on the left of that picture?? He makes perez look ever worse than he already does..

Gayness ruins careers? Come on he's not exactly outing the pope. If you actually look at who he is trying to out, their fanbase isn't exactly reliant on being hetero. Besides, I think it's pathetic that people have to be 'in the closet'. Jeez is 2007. Get over it!

I completely disagree... while people should be proud of who they are, it is entirely a personal decision to come out and they shouldn't be forced out by this stupid twat.

He's so pathetic and full of himself.. showing up on TV shows and whatnot.. get over your hideous self! Agh.

^^Um, your opinion doesn't matter, neither does Perez's. Last time I checked it was a PERSONAL decision to come out of the closet, not a democratic one. And yeah, homosexuality is very much disapproved of in America, and actually, coming out can have consequences on a person's career. Clay Aiken's fans were planning some revolt if he turned out to be gay (wow, they're so insightful, they didn't notice from the beginning??)

I don't care, but if someone doesn't want the whole world to know the details of their sex lives, they don't need some troll criticizing their decisions. Especially one as vile and vulgar as Perez. He takes it way beyond humor. I love Michael K. @ Dlisted and Rich @ FourFour who are both gay and make comments on closeted gays in the media, but they do it with wit and style.

My opinion doesn't matter? Well at least if more people thought like me and my friends then nobody would afraid to be themselves. I guess I was just lucky to grow up not knowing anybody who had any homophobia - even catholic friends.

I had no idea that the US was still so naive..I thought it had done a lot of growing up. Not sure why.

I just hope that there are some people 'in the closet' who realise there are people like me and my friends who have a brain and realise that it doesn't matter who you love o_O;

It's not a surprise... All of us saw this coming.

No, people's opinions do not matter when it comes to such a personal decision. It is up to the individual to decide what is best for themselves. Forcing someone to come out of the closet is no better than forcing them to stay inside. It should be their choice.

And actually, the US has done a lot of growing up over the issue of homophobia, but homosexuality is not widely accepted in the world period. Just because it is largely accepted in parts of Europe doesn't mean that the people of South and Central America, the Middle East and Africa find it acceptable. I honestly don't care who has sex with whom, it's none of my business and sexuality doesn't affect a person's character. But it's really naive to think that homosexuality is considered hunky-dory all over the world.

This will be an interesting case. It will have a big impact on how future cases concering e-commerce and internet copyrights are dealt with. Since Perez refuses to acknowledge these companies he's clearly going to court so there will be a definite outcome which is exciting.

You make it sound as if they have to come out and say they're gay. Some people choose to do it because they think it's the right thing to do. Others just shrug it off. Heck, he's only using current speculation anyway. I thought loads of those people were homosexual before I even knew his site existed.

The only thing that annoyed me was when he had the whole Issiah Washington debacle. He definitely went too far without knowing the whole situation and well....even if the guy is an ***hat, perez shouldn't be the one to define his character without knowing what actually happened on GA. I mean a little bit of anger towards him was understandable but he just dragged on and on...

Anyway this is getting rather off topic from the pap issue.

^ LOL, yes, that is what made me dislike him so much! I used to visit his site everyday until the whole Isiah Washington thing, plus his constant harping on Rumer Willis, made me think he was a hypocrite. It's funny how he defends Paris Hilton, who has been video taped saying myriad racial slurs, but he seriously would not shut up about Isiah Washington. Selective moral outrage is lame.

Anyways, yes, off-topic. He's an idiot who cannot seem to grasp the simple concept of sourcing (everyone here at tFS seems to just fine) and his site may be shut down because of it. Boo hoo!

I guess nobody minded until he started raking in the dough...

Not true, Michael K. of Dlisted is by no means pimping himself out and making money, but he was forced to change the name of his site from "The D-List" to "Dlisted" after Kathy Griffin's were all over him. I'm suprised it took them this long to sue. I'm guessing they asked him both formally and informally and he ignored them until they decided to sue.

I dont understand him, he makes an insane amount of money a year, yet cant afford a nutritionist, stylist, and diet?

^ those require some sort of discipline which he's clearly deprived of.

You know, he only just started making money, you make it sound as if he's been wealthy for years. Secondly, you can tell he's naturally a bigger guy than a lot of people. Thirdly, since his aim is to poke fun at Hollywood he'd look a bit ridiculous if he was trying to slim down to the size of Nicole Richie. Fourthly, he obviously enjoys life and sees no need to starve himself just to look 'pretty'. He's never going to be a prettyboy. Why try?

^ No, he used to be in good shape. Once he started getting heavier, he even went on some VH1 show about trying to look like a celebrity. Anyone remember the name? There were some nude pics of him floating around that he posted on some gay sex site and he was in good shape. Haha, I found a post about it here if anyone wants to feel sick.

Ouch! I really agree that one's sexuality is a private, personal issue for everyone including celebutantes. Such a juggling act - the entertainment and fashion industry, the press, the paparazzi, the tabloids... still, I do believe in free speech, and I do think that Hollywoodites can withstand anything someone as superficially entertaining as Perez has to dish out.
