FYI...since sept 11th...ALL the rates have dropped...
people are now paying 1/3 less than what they were...
instead of booking a 5 day shoot...for example... they will only book 3 days...
everyone's income has been hit HARD...i think the big guys are feeling it the most...becausee they have been so spoiled an so used to having it easy...it's easier for the little scrappy guy to survive because he's used to hustling...the big guys are making big cutbacks...just like the fashion houses and all the agencies...

..as far as hiring artists...that is another negotiation entirely...i believe many artists donate the work or lend it in order to get the exposure...that is the incentive for everyone...the tear sheets for their books and the exposure...these editorials lead to lucrative advertising gigs...so it pays off for everyone in the end that way...
