The way of treating girls and picturing nudity has a lot to do with respect for the models, too. IMO many fotos are so respectless and disgusting, that's no longer "fashion". This is very degrading for the girls Agencies shouldn't even upload fotos like this into their models' portfolio on their website, for example.

its appalling how all of these CRIMES are committed everyday in teh fashion industry and yet people still manage to let it slide.

i think they go through a lot more. i mean, aside from the fact that the fashion world has a high percentage of gay men working within the industry, you could just imagine. i'm sure a lot of the male models are sexually harassed, but you won't hear about that.

I read somewhere that there's an increasing amount of nude photography in editorials.
And I thought fashion was about the clothing?
It's really not dissimilar to the likes of p*rn*gr*phy.
Now the seedy man can flip through i-D, instead of Playboy..

More than the scandalous aspect of Picture me, what I'm looking forward to are Sara Ziff's point of view on her profession. Of course the sexualisatio age and weight issues will be part of that but it's so rare that models are given the opportunity to speak about their job besides bland interviews where we mostly hear about their private lives, style and fitness regimen. What struck a cord with me in the trailer is the "you end up feeling like a living doll part".

To be quite honest, I've always believed that this was a major factor in the overall age preference for models. Not just sexually, but a 14-year-old (even more so if does not speak English, French or Italian) without her parents would likely be much more easily manipulated than someone older.

Actually she had a long and steady career, with big advertising campaigns and lots of runway work. It actually seemed for a time she was in every runway show.
She only stopped modelling full time relatively recently and is still signed with an agency.
