Pirate Boots - Vivienne Westwood

Can someone help me? I'd really love the pair Sienna Miller always wears...

Does anyone know an online shop or a store in Germany or Austria?
It'd be really appreciated...

I had to post her to let you know that my English teacher has genuine Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots. Whenever I see her in them I die a little inside. She gets to parade about in enviable shoes and my fellow students and I have to wear black leather loafers! Life isn't fair!

^ That must be one cool teacher! Wish my lecturers were at least a bit fashionable :p

BonjourTristesse, hervia.com ships overseas...

I got my black leather pair a month or two ago and am so happy.
I did a mail order through The World's End, because Hervia were out of stock.
I have wanted them ever since high school...so it's still a bit of a dream actually being able to put them on whenever i feel like it.

I was also surprised by how subtle they can look tucked under pants.

total investment success.
Pretty excited to see how they age.
Also, now, I'm D Y I N G for another pair!

p.s. The World's End staff are probably the most helpful and kind people i have ever dealt with.

Matay, I die. I love them on you.

^ that link directs you to the red ones but yes, it's the suede ones. :flower: Do let us know if you get 'em.

As far as NAP, I only see the black color, in many sizes, and it's more expensive than ordering from VW

I think Ill get them end of October... I'm so excited.

Is everyone pleased with them?Worth the money? Nice fit?
Can you wear them when it's raining?

Thank you for feedback!

- I noticed that the "strings" (or whatever the word is) is alot darker here... Does it automatically become darker over time?
Or are those different boots?

Yes, that is the "patina" that comes over time (w/ exposure to sun, mult. wearings...etc), just like, i.e. the straps on a new LV bag.

I think most everyone is HAPPY.
If you get the suede, I for one, would NOT wear them in the rain. There's not enough protectant in the world that I could spray that would give me piece of mind, plus...I don't think I would spray THAT much protectant on 'em anyway. :-)

I didn't know they come in black/black, too - all the years I have only seen them in contrasting color combinations!
I wish I had the money for the pair available at NAP at the moment. They are perfection.

I also love the heeled version, it looks very steampunk. This one is from 2008 I think.

Just here to say HUUUUUNGGHFJHCFGJDGZ I NEED THESE. I've been in love with these boots for a few years now and after a Givenchy bag these babies are next on my buy list. ):

They are the most versatile boots in the world, my brown squiggle print boots are now worn to death but they look even better.

I'm considering going to Worlds End where apparently they'll make them to order for you, and seeing if they still have the same colour leathers as Kate's has. I'd LOVE those boots.

I have a pair of them in black and they are wonderful!

I've worn them a lot during fall and winter.

I am somewhat becoming more fond of pirate boots these days. Not so much these Vivienne Westwood ones, though. These Vivienne Westwood pirate boots are more like the boot cousin of gladiator sandals. I'd Nay! these if we were doing "Yay or Nay?" on these. I have liked more of the cuffed pirate boots than these strap-a-licious boots. I've seen better looking riding boots than these Vivienne Westwood pirate boots.

Sorry. As kids would say, just sayin'...

does anyone know why these boots went up by $200 since a few months ago?? i should have bought them when they were about $550 back in maybe Oct/Nov2010 on the official vivienne westwood website...now they're $740 :(

That's really weird because if you go through Hervia.com (which is also officially associated with VW) then they are about $551 (you have to convert it).

I have been lusting on these shoes for several years and I think I might bite the bullet and buy them for myself as a graduation present since I'm finally finishing uni this semester. I was thinking of doing a classic pair of CLs to start off my professional life with (and wear to graduation), but those are even more expensive and let's be honest, I'll probably get a lot more wear out of the boots. And I can just wear stuff I already have to graduate in. Plus even though they are still a big splurge for me, it isn't as bad as Louboutins. The light grey suede has always been my favorite, but do you guys know if they will wear out faster? I want them to be wearable for ages.

Has anyone had the sole start to detach on their pirate boots? I bought mine a year ago, probably worn them 10-15 times.....I keep them in the box when I'm not wearing them. I'm wearing them today and the sole has detached from the shoe at the toe. I'm very upset! I know it could be fixed, but I expected the quality to be better than this. I can't even take them to a VW store because I live in Canada and bought them at the boutique in Glasgow.
