I just wanted to know what people at tFS think about that label.

i've always liked it...a bit too sexy for me to actually wear..but it looks great in pictures...the quality is eh...and the prices are kind of high...but, again...i really like the styles for editorial work... :flower:

They have gorgeous leather and suede pieces.
But most of the designs are over sexed and over priced, IMHO of course.

i think they had a moment a few years ago (i forget who it was that wore them) but then they kind of fizzled out. i enjoy them in much the same way i enjoy brands like trina turk and laundry...sort of nightlife staples but nothing really all that risky or avant-garde. definitely sexy though.

I love Plein Sud pieces which are slightly off kilter- a nice asymmetric top, etc. but then there are also the leather and suede pieces which are often just so over the top (for me). I see it as a bit of schizophrenia.

As mikeijames said,I think it had alot of attention between '96-'98. After that...not much I haven't seen from the label.

Didn't Martin Margiela design something(or things) for the label at one time? I think it was a sort of collaboration back in early 1998

i love their designs and more so their campaigns! Always genious!

they've got a lot of original, sexy pieces of clothing. my mum has a few plein sud shirts. they're hot :buzz:

its the TYPICAL SAINT TROPEZ label for me!!

some of their stuff is real nice though :flower:

Really?? I was not aware of that. Doesn't seem to mix with their style - it just oozes sexuality.

this dress here is cute still i find their clothes a little bit over priced (for what they are)

to be honest i dont think much of the label :ninja:

I have few things, and I think that usually the quality is very good, but I did catch on fire due to one of their sweaters( search fire for the whole story) I'm impressed by their fine-weave wool- very soft w/ nice drape, but I think that their "sexier" things are  They look like they are more for the mall-rat sector, something you could find at Wet Seal. I guess it;s really hit or miss -------

Oh wait a moment,am I thinking of New York Industrie?! My mind is amuck and am not thinking clearly.

I like Plein Sud a lot. Just got a leather jacket, and some very long very tight trousers from there, today. I would include it in my top 5 clothes brands.
Sometimes it reminds me of PHI.

i love the plein sud tops too! i used to buy more in the past, however....

i have never thought much about the label though i do own two plein sud pieces that were not expensive and that are not very sexy:lol:

but i bought them years ago...

what surprises me is that when i think of plein sud only this campaign shot by p. roversi comes to my mind, with audrey marnay i think, and it said "par facial amor"?? sexy neither.

they must be schizophrenic.^_^
