Hmm, not really amongst the A-listers like the ones I listed.

Natalie Portman is not A-List? No disrespect to them, but some of the people posted are A-Listers and others are not.

Well Natalie Portman was also featured in my list. I'm sorry, but other than Maggie Cheung, Hailee Steinfeld, the girl from that Narnia film and Natalie Portman, I don't remember anyone else who wore the dresses from that collection. Some celebrities wore some of the accessories like Leighton Meester. Some celebrities like Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jaime Winstone and Roisin Murphy wore the dresses to a Lanvin x H&M event, but that's it. Are you trying to say that they are more famous than Liv Tyler, Gwen Stefani, Cate Blanchett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katie Holmes, Leighton Meester, Julianne Moore and Kate Hudson?

No I am not trying to put the collection above any other Lanvin or non-Lanvin collection, I am asserting that in compliance with the thread title, the collection is popular among celebs which you proved in your post better than I could have (karma), especially for a collection that made its debut less than two months ago.

Yeah, but the Lanvin RTW collections are obviously not as accessible as the Lanvin x H&M one unless the PR at Lanvin loan the dresses out during the opposite seasons. The average person could buy something from that collection. I think that celebrities have worn the Lanvin x H&M collection and moved on. Celebrities love to stand out and wearing expensive pieces. I'm not expecting Hollywood heavyweights like Gwyneth Paltrow and Cate Blanchett to be wearing those clothes on the red carpet any time soon.

A'ight. The title of the thread is Popular Collections Amongst Celebrities, not Popular Collections Amongst A-List Celebrities or Popular Unwearable Collections Amongst Celebrities. I don't know why wearability is an issue, there are wearable collections from designers like Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Celine that are not prevalent on the red carpet so I don't think we can conclude that the attraction of this collection to celebs is its wearability, no doubt it is a bonus but not the sole or driving factor.

Yeah, but the thing is...not many celebrities have actually worn that collection. That's the thing. It certainly pales in comparison to Lanvin's RTW collections. Sorry I got a little carried away with the A-list celebrity thing, but in no way was it more popular than Spring 2008.

Well the collection has been out less than two months, so it is not really comparable to a collection that has been out for over three years, I was just commenting that it seems to be a popular collection among celebs.
