The ad is trying to portray the idea that "You just can't get enough of Prada bags!"
i do not like this.
all the bags are so distracting and sasha looks so airbrushed. i like how they are doing different campaigns for the main line and the accessories though
Miuccia is anything but dumb. She picked a girl that effortlessly carries out the directional Prada, as well as the commercial Prada. Sasha isn't some girl selected by an advertising agency for her pretty face. She's Miuccia's muse. So I am not sure what you mean by a poor choice of model. The girl is the face of Prada. It is what it is.Good(or is it?) to see that Prada have made a wise marketing decision creating another campaign for the bags...
despite its relatively dull aesthetic and poor choice of model.
Oh, I see. I wasn't sure what you meant before. I completely understand, and I am sure a lot of people agree that a fresh new face would be welcome. On the other hand, Sasha is truly the face of the brand and it'll be odd to see anyone else in Prada ads. I am pretty sure Prada will have a new face (or most likely, a new group) for S/S 08. I would be shocked if they went with another girl as "the face" for several seasons like they did with Sasha. It was just a unique situation where the designer and the model were a perfect match.^ True, but doesn't Miuccia pride herself on being a innovator through and through? Shouldn't she alter her muse every now and again?, after all, she doesn't open and close every season with Sasha so why resort to being entirely predictable by placing her in every campaign?
I'm not trying to provoke any friction here by the way, just posing some questions.
