For some reason they don't bother me...and they're great for people who object to leather/animal skin bags ;)

^ that'd be fine, if they weren't so overpriced, then. I mean really, it's nylon.

I actually like them. Isn't that what they're known for is mostly the nylon bags. You can spot a black nylon with the triangle a mile away and know its a Prada.

^ I know what you mean. :flower:

But at the end of the day, they are just nylon.
I honestly think that they are overhyped and overpriced, yes they are a good alternative for people who are against leather, but with the prices, it seems like you are paying more for the name than anything else.

I rather just get a plain generic nylon bag and save my money for something else :)

but the nylon is nicer than the nylon on a drugstore bag. I have one I use as a diaper bag and it's durable, stylish (at least compared to other diaper bags) and looks brand new. I do agree the bags are overpriced, but what designer bags aren't?? people are willingly paying $1000+ for balenciaga bags that fade after a couple uses and chloe paddingtons that have chipped hardware. and so what if it's nylon -- unless we're talking about exotic skins, you're not paying for the materials but for the craftsmanship. people don't seem to have a problem shelling out $$ for gucci monogram bags. I'm personally bored with all prada bags, not just the nylon. does anybody remember the quilted nylon bags? it's been a long time, but I seem to recall they came out before the regular nylon bags. I had one and loved it. I wonder if it's in the attic somwhere . . .

i remember the quilted ones. those were f/w 2003. i wanted one!

i don't mind the basic classic nylon bags, but the more they tried to get creative with the nylon, the less i liked them. i have a small messenger square bag and really like it :flower:

don't like these bags, AT ALL...i can't imagine someone paying full price knowing that they're all over the internet at discount shops which have really cheapened these bags...doesn't bluefly carry these?

I love the mid-sized messenger bag. I agree that they're COMPLETELY overpriced, but I think they're stylish and utilitarian.

I think in a somewhat ironic way they might be back. I think they're funny, but also 'quiet' and utilitarian which means they're on the right track as far as trends go.

Aren't the zipper tags and the buckle straps on these nylon bags leather? If so, they can't be a vegan bag solution!!! I have the small back pack which I use when I'm dressed down and it's snowing - or when I am with friends who have very hyper kids who give everything a good mauling - it's fine for those occasions. I think that if the bag is clean and in good condition and worn with the right clothing it can look chic.

I like the orange shopper that was posted above as a bag to thrown around and not be too careful with, but for nearly $800, no way.

don't we have to blame the black nylon bag for bringing prada to everyones attention?

can anyone tell me about this bag?

what season it is, in particular? possibly what it retailed for? thanks
