I like them for travel because I can wash them or for shopping in Filene's basement because often you'll have to put the bag on the floor and the light colored ones get dirty.
I also use them when it's raining, othwise I wear the Leather bags in my collection.

I just like the nylon because they are durable as hell. I use one of the ones I had in HS as a jogging bag, through the rain and everything it still looks okay. I don't buy them much anymore because I'm more into leather, but back then they definitely served their purpose
