Prada stockings

I also love GG's style with the magenta heels. Thanks for the great tip. But maybe I should just get another pair of black ones...:p Arrr... I will see:blush: hmmm... I don't even know if they carry them in the States yet... any one knows??

Stella, your stockings look great, and your legs too!
Yesterday on ebay I won these antique silk knit stockings, intended to be used as knockoffs of the prada stockings. I was originally planning to dye them grey so they would be more like the pradas, but I dunno maybe this ivory colour is better because it´s different? :ninja: What do you guys think?

thanks very much kisa
your antique silk stockings look great! ivory's even more 1920-ish than prada's light grey. i can imagine them with black ankle boots... paired with a classic shift dress. what do you think?

I thought they were more 1920sish in ivory as well, but I like Prada's grey. :p On the other hand the ivory would be different...ahhhh decisions decisions! :flower:

Nope, I can't afford real Prada stockings, I'm poh. :p I would have to dye my fake Prada stockings grey. These fakes were just a fluke on ebay, and I haven't seen any others since...:ermm:

hmm.. I think I'd dye these grey then :D I like both colors but I think the grey would be more flattering.

Guessgirl96 how much did you have to pay for the prada stockings? thank you :flower:

^Sock dreams also has a really cool pair of ribbed thigh highs that come in all sorts of colours including grey. In the grey picture they look nice and translucent, but when they're not stretched they look like tube socks. :( If you just want to achieve the shape, but don't care if you have stockings or legwarmers you should check them out! :flower:

I've been drooling over these stockings for weeks but am wondering how durable they are? Are they easily ripped like stockings or can you wear them for years like socks? Stockings are my weakness (Leona Edmiston especially!) but I don't know yet if I'm ready to really splurge on a Prada pair...

I have to say they are really fragile- my has some pull and runs after only wearing them for couple hours... and I was being very careful wearing them.

I agree with Sanura, I treat all my clothes very carefully but I already pulled several strings after trying them with some outfits for the first time and one is really large. The fabric is really delicate but it's silk so it's not surprising actually.

I just bought the black silk Prada stockings non ribbed and i have no idea what to wear with them. I really wanted the grey ones. I think I got overlyexcited when the SA told me that although the grey ones are sold out they had other ones in stock. I jumped at the chacnce to get my hands on a pair. I am an impulsive shopper...:(. Now i regret it a bit. Anyway...what colored/type of shoes would look nice with black stockings? I saw these luscious grey peep stappy sandals at Prada but at 450, id rather spend that money on winter shoes. Also what sort of outfits? Help!! TIA!

I would assume that black would go well with all sorts of colors as opposed to the grey ones that I own and don't know what colors (esp. shoes) to wear with. I would try ankle boots with them if you have any or black pumps and different kinds of skirts. I'm pretty sure you will find something in your wardrobe.

They actually went for £ 155 on ebay last night. I was bidding, but not up to that price, and now the seller contacted me and offered me a pair for £ 150. It is way too much, right? But I really want a pair :(

£150 for a pair of socks? Thats pathetic - if you go in Selfridges at Oxford Circus at the moment and you go on the ground floor where they sell women's wear there is a department that sells leggings, etc.

Well I went there today and they have loads of grey tights, leggings and these GORGEOUS and I mean lovely wool grey stockings!!!

hi all,

I just bought a pair of silky, ribbed, slouchy, black stockings from anthropologie. They definitely seem like prada knock-offs.

Has anyone seen or tried these?

I hope I am not barging in too rudely.....:flower:
