Prince Harry serving in Afghanistan

It's all over the UK news obviously, but with the permission of the Ministry of Defence, so I imagine they have him safe now.

Drudge was the one who broke it which is shocking! I am surprised they kept it underwraps for so long but I'm pretty sure this screws not only him but a lot of other soldiers in Afghanistan to have this public now. There is nothing more the Taliban would like then to score themselves a Prince.

Good on him, he always said he wanted to serve in active duty, he seems to be loving it as well. I know someone who's just come back from a tour in Afghanistan and apparently it was widely known he was there so it could well have been known by the Taliban as well. Good on the British media for not publishing for so long when they must have been itching to. Grr to Drudge for making all this international now, when he had nearly finished. I hope he is able to finish without any disasters now it is a fact he's there.

It was in the papers in May last year that they were sending him to Afghanistan, instead of Iraq, like he wanted. So this isn't really new.

I doubt they were confirming anything last May...the only thing confirmed last May was that he was pulled from Iraq. This was top secret. He may be pulled from Afghan now...

Apparently most major news sources have known about this the whole time but for the safety of Harry and the other soldiers kept it quiet. This is probably the first time I can say I'm proud of the media for doing something respectful, but shame on those few who chose not to follow their lead.

nice to see hes still fighting for his country, and not shying away like he could so easily do .. bet his dad n camilla are so proud,

Prince Harry had only a week left to complete his mission in Afghanistan. Media like Drudge can really put alot of people in danger all for a stupid "FIRST to report". but thankfully, it's reported Prince Harry was pulled immediately out of Afghanistan as soon as the news leaked. also, his men are safe.

But i must commend Prince Harry, one Brave Heart indeed. A Hero. He did his duties to the utmost. He truly is a future leader.

"God Save the Prince"

^Amen to that. He said he was happy just being "one of the lads"-it was as close to normal that he was ever going to get. Serving active duty in the military takes guts, guts that I don't have. Yes, he has been flown back to Britain from what I have been reading.

I don't necessarily blame any American media outlets like Drudge for getting the story since only CNN, AP and Reuters were in on the deal stateside.

I mean even the NY Times could've exposed this story and not have really known since Americans don't follow royalty and the public has no idea about anything the princes do over here. I mean I had noticed there weren't any candids of him around England for awhile but I never thought anything more...

It is a shame for him because he had got away with 10 weeks and probably really was starting to breathe a sigh of relief that he could go on until the end date of April as planned. Going from one extreme to another for him will probably be frustrating though, more than a normal soldier would feel...

Rambo royal Prince Harry’s front-line heroics have won him a new image as a hardnut Lego toy.

The Army hero, 23, who is just back from war-torn Afghanistan, has been turned into a model soldier in the famous little bricks.

Mini-Harry is a one-off tribute by Canadian artist Sarah Mackenzie, who copied the image from newspaper pictures of the fighting Prince.

She has given the toy a black Lego machine-gun, a helmet with dust-defying goggles, and a backpack for his grenades and binoculars.

Now royal fan Sarah, from British Columbia, is auctioning her creation on eBay. And last night it was going at just £12.50.
