Something I don't quite understand. if the people trying to get Whistler out are very powerful or government related...Why can't they get him themselves?

i have a weird feeling they're just testing Michael for something bigger

I never liked Sara's character so I wasnt that sad to see her go, even though it was very surprising and I do feel bad for Micheal
