Queen Rania Of Jordan

she was in my country few weeks ago on an official visit with her husband.
was kinda disapointed by what she wore. i ll try to find pix and post them

I was in Jordan not long ago and I have to say Jordanian/Palestinian women are stunning. They really all do look as pretty or even prettier than Queen Rania. Palestinian/Jordanian women are renowned for their beauty amongst the Arabs ;)

And most of them are so small! I often think of Princess Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin when I see them with their big brown eyes

I'm surprised that her fashion style has not reached the level of fame as Ms. Obama and Sarkozy. She's been in the international spotlight longer than either of them.

Carla Bruni has nothing on her, that's for sure. I guess it has to do with some people (and therefore the media) having prejudice against, well, Arabs.

I don't think that it is a matter of prejudice.
I think rather that it's about the fact that no matter how fashionable she is, the Queen of Jordan is not going to be as high profile as the first lady of the United States or the wife of the French President who used to be a super model. Developing leaders themselves get so little press so think about how much press their wives get.
I think that the only reason why she gets as much international press as she does (Vanity Fair, Vogue etc.) is because she herself works on so many international issues and attends these high profile events like the MET costume ball etc.
For all we know, the wife of the prime minister of Sri-Lanka is a fashion icon, but we'll never know it because no one cares about Sri-Lanka enough to cover what the first lady is wearing.
