    yes...puckered seams...and i admit that i don't love them either...which is why i can't understand why they're everywhere i turn...so i figure they MUST be cheap..it's the only explanation...

    what are they???...

Heya Softie. I dont know what the technical term is... but I call 'em moccasin slides.. Steve madden had them out.. they still do... so do several steve madden-ish stores. I have a pair of steve madden ones but they hurt my feet like hell... i prefer the ones i got from anthropologie in silver(pic above)... Are these what you're talkin about?

Right now Steve madden is selling them for 59. I bought mine for a bit more... but make sure you try them on and give them a test before you buy, a lot of the ones i tried on were made horribly and pieces of leather were rubbing on the sides of my feet.. which soon caused blisters...

They started showing up early spring... They're a slight spin off of the popular beaded slippers + moccasin trend....

In my opinion, these shoes will be just like those chinese beaded slippers next year. EVERYONE will be wearing them.. even the homeless people on the subway.

Yup - they've been around here since mid spring to summer time

i don't have a clue where they've popped up from either - i haven't even seen them in shops around here and i live in a city full of shoe shops  !

i'm thinking there may be a moccasin slide fairy working some magic and they just turn up on peoples feet and they can't get them off because i have not seen them in shops and i can tell you i'm not one to walk past a shoe shop and not have a look. :innocent:

Tis quite strange. I can honestly say i shall not be wearing them though.
