Why is everyone talking about Michelle Michelle Michelle?

They broke up already.

Because they have a kid together?!! Hello are you that heartless? She was his fiance, just because they broke up doesn't mean she isn't devastated over his death.

I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car.
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you're always right.
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you.
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

Thankyou! Karma.

Yeah they have a kid together, but the media makes it sound like she's become a widow, or that they were still together at the time of his death.

michelle and heath broke up only 5 months ago!! it's normal that they talk about Michelle
she is the mother of his baby!!

I think it's safe to say that very few, if any people that have posted in this thread knew him personally and look at how saddened all of us are by his passing. The point is, broken up or not, when something happens to someone that you cared about in any way, at any point in your life, it's going to affect you, regardless of whether or not you still have those feelings and I imagine that it's even more so when you share a child with that person. Not only do you have to deal with your own feelings about it, but you also have to figure how to tell a person that won't really grasp what's going on something that will have a huge effect on the rest of their life. I can't imagine having go through something like that when I become a parent and we should really try to empathize with her at this time.

Really the point of this thread shouldn't be about asking why so and so would be sad or what the point of talking about such and such is, it should be about trying to come to terms with something that many find hard to understand. I believe someone on this thread said something along the lines of "When something like this happens to a celeb, you realize that it can happen to you as well...you see that they're human and that if something like this can happen to them, then what''s to stop it from happening to you?" It's sad and it just makes you open your eyes to the fact that no matter how much money, fame or respect one has, you may have to go through something like this. I don't know...that's just my 2 cents. :ermm:

doesn't matter that they broke up, Naomi is probably devastated too
it's always hard to know that someone who was so close to you is dead :(

^Naomi was indeed affected :(

Naomi Watts in tears at Sundance, cancels press appearances

Perhaps avoiding the obvious questions awaiting her, Naomi Watts has canceled all her press appearances for Wednesday at the Sundance Film Festival, where her dark comedy Funny Games is slated to premiere at midnight.

She and Ledger met on the set of Ned Kelly in 2002 and dated for nearly two years. The late actor accompanied her to the Academy Awards in 2004, when she was up for Best Actress for 21 Grams.

I think his death just reminds us greatly that actors are just human beings, like all of us, they too are vulnerable to death. We should never take anyone's life for granted.

I don't understand why anyone would even WANT to see his bodybag coming out of his apartment?
It's not like the first thing I think when I find out somebodys dead is "Oh I wish I could've seen their dead body!" It's not even something that enters a normal persons mind. It doesn't make it any more newsworthy or gives any new information, its just sick. A dignified press release would have been enough.

I think if there are people out there who want to see that kind of stuff as if its "ENTERTAINMENT" they have serious problems. I guess its just a symptom of our celebrity obsessed, vulgar, 24hournews, reality tv world. We are so over-exposed to all the horrors of the world and peoples intensely private moments that we've become completely apathetic...

This is shocking and awful. Maybe his lifestyle choices weren't the best, but he was a good actor and the father of a little girl, it's so sad to know she won't know him growing up and vice versa.

I was so in love with him when I was younger, heh. R.I.P :(:(

after reading all 24 pages of posts so far, i can't think of a single thing to say that hasn't already been expressed exactly the way that i thought and felt it. my heart goes out to his loved ones, particularly matilda. it's so tragic. :(

I used to have the BIGGEST crush on Heath Ledger after the Patriot came out. So strange, first Brad Renfro then this.

HEATH LEDGER REMEMBERED: Heath Ledger's death Tuesday afternoon stunned Hollywood, but it also rattled the New York nightlife and fashion communities of which Ledger slowly had been becoming a part. In September, the actor was one of the most visible — if not one of the biggest — celebrities making the rounds during fashion week. He wound up at Another Magazine's bash at the Bowery Hotel alongside Chloë Sevigny and Helena Christensen. The following night, he drew stares dressed in a grungy T-shirt and sandwiched between Vincent Gallo and rocker Michael Stipe in the front row of Marc Jacobs' show. Twenty-four hours later, Ledger ditched his grubby downtown look and arrived at Calvin Klein's after party at the Gramercy Park Hotel in a natty suit. "I haven't gotten this dressed up since the Oscars," said the reticent actor, who showed up at the intimate dinner with Christensen.

Upon hearing the news Tuesday, Bungalow 8 owner Amy Sacco told WWD, "I am devastated. He was a sweet, smart and talented young man and had many friends. My heart goes out to his family."

Christensen said, "I am just beyond sad at this point, and shocked....I was on my way over to pay him a visit when I found out. I had just left him a message and heard his voice on the machine....He was such a special and genuine person, so extraordinarily talented because he was so raw and honest with his feelings. He was so full of life, so electric....This is immensely sad."

^And he is very coherent. He is just fidgety.

One of many reasons why some people prefer it over alcohol. Coherent thoughts, even enhanced ability to think. Alcohol is a sledgehammer, whereas * is fine-tuned, doesn't take out your entire body. Until taken too much.

Heath Ledger's Rep Calls Death 'Accident'

TUESDAY JANUARY 22, 2008 09:20 PM EST

Heath Ledger's rep called the actor's death an "accident" and asked for privacy for his family.

"We are deeply saddened and shocked by this accident," said publicist Mara Buxbaum in a statement. "This is an extremely difficult time for his loved ones. We're asking the media to please respect the family's privacy and avoid speculation until the facts are known."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I really want to know if this Mara Buxbaum gets in trouble over the out of control media situation that has happened today. Her client has died, the apartment is surrounded by media, everyone is speculating whether it was an overdose or accidental and cops are talking to bloody TMZ.com.

Where the hell was she while everyone was watching his body being taken out of the apartment? Where the hell was she when his parent's heard about his death on the bloody radio? Her job to look after her client and she failed.

I just watched Sky News and they showed his family coming out of their home to say something to the media and they shouldn't have had to do that. It was so sad.

^Oh please stop the emotional overload. I never said that MW was not affected by the tragedy.
