i think it's great that people are expressing themselves and i know meds and anxiety are easy to bring up as discussion points because they are related to bits + pieces we are hearing about heath's passing . .
but i think, if we can, we really need to try + focus and stay on topic here . .

I am very angry at those anti-gay cults going on. They spread soooo much hatred saying that they thank God for 9/11 and the tsunami!!!

i hate how everyone is now coming out of the woodwork to say heath was on drugs. i think if it were true a story like that would have come out a long time ago. they wait untill he's dead to tarnish his name with all this drug talk

Heath Ledger's funeral set to take place in Manhattan as grieving family pay tribute in writing

Ledger's family is set to arrive in Manhattan today for the star's funeral.
Services for the Brokeback Mountain star will remain private but uncomfirmed reports suggest that he will be buried in his hometown of Perth, Australia.
A spokesman said: "At this time, we will not be releasing any information,"
"There are no plans for a public service."

I don't think they should release any information what so ever about it to the media. It's totally disrespectful.

in respect for Heath ... i bid him RIP

BUT...

...i need to say this, why do celebrity or celebrities' siblings always have to take all types of medication? it just baffles me...

  • Jack Osborne
  • Anna Nicole and her son
  • Hunter Tylo's son who recently passed away
  • Heath Ledger (i didnt realized he was taking all those meds)
... there's alot but these are the people i can think of as of right now...

*the question is why? is this the norm in most household? am i sheltered? lol. i mean, these aren't medication for blood pressure, cholesterol, anemia or anything medical that is the norm. we're talking mostly, with anti-depression, anxiety, pain killers etc.

Did Jack Osborne die?

they just want attention, but need years of therapy... really, don't bother yourself with those warms....

poor kid.... she has no idea what is going on, and this circus will just confuse her. when my friend's father died, her kid was 2 yrs old. and she told him that his grandfather went to God. and he said that he was mad with God cos he also wanted to play with grandfather... i was crying like crazy when i heard that...

Mary-Kate Olsen has finally broken her silence and released a statement about the loss of her friend, Heath Ledger. "Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic loss. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time."

totally agree with u ...
i'm so sad about it ! RIP Heath !

^That last bit is broken logic. Just because I feel it's 'too much info' doesn't mean I agree with the rest of the rubbish on the news 24/7.

I wasn't knocking anyone here.
I was more saying how disrespectful the media has been.

I think what mary kate said was insensitive to say the least and it would have been better if she didn't say anything at all. Maybe she felt pressured to issue a statement now that her name has been dragged out about the whole first contact thing, but her statement sounded like she didn't give a crap, or that she was bitter about something (perhaps heath dumped her?)

I can't speak for those people you mentioned.
I don't know their reasons for taking meds.

But I do know I have been hearing more and more how popular abusing RX meds are for people in general, esp. young people.
I have heard the amount of teens abusing RXs is higher than the amount of kids using illicit drugs combined.
I am sadden by the # of people I know that do it and really think it's no big deal.
It's no surprise it's hit Hollywood too.

So, since the funeral was today (or was it yesterday?) - has the autopsy report come in? I know they said the first one was inconclusive, but has the 2nd one been reported yet?

^ The funeral has nothing to do with the results of the autopsy.
They took fluids to test so his body is free to rest.

It's the tests being concluded at the lab that will take days/weeks.

^ ^NY was all private ...

... Los Angeles will be another memorial they have some family members living in california (private again --- or unless it's a stop over because its also a midpoint to Australia) -- which they should've arrived by now in LAX

... then shortly after his body will be flown back to Australia for official funeral and burial.

Unless there'll be two, I think LA is going to be the public memorial service.. well according to this:

"Ledger's journey home to Perth is expected to take two days.
A public remembrance has also been proposed for Los Angeles in the coming days, Foreign Affairs Minister Stephen Smith told reporters in New York, where he was visiting the United Nations.
"I understand there's a private memorial service today for family members. I also understand it's proposed there will be a public memorial service in Los Angeles later this week," Mr Smith said, adding that Australian consular officials had offered to help the family repatriate the body.
The family is still considering an offer from Guildford Grammar School, Ledger's Perth high school, to host a memorial service, a school spokesman said."
