I just can't stand how celebs can get meds so easy.
Not saying this is the case with Heath but we all know it's true.
---
I am on Sienna's boat. We will have to agree to disagree about the meds.
I think whether you had real sleep troubles or not....
more than one sleep med at a time is excessive.
---
Is it just b/c he is a celeb they will release the cause of death? Or is that public info for anyone?

I don't think it is just celebs. I think it is just Americans. Plus any other nation - England, Australia - where Big Business rules the roost and people are denied their rights to health because health doesn't make money. I hope this is not too political. It isn't meant to be.

I was actually wondering that. Why will they release the cause of death? Do they have to? Because I'd like to know what happened with Brad. I don't know, just for peace of mind.

Maybe cause of death is kept in public records. Anyone know for sure?
I should.:ninja:

Amen. It's like Drs. work for pharmaceutical companys now.

I just hope anyone here on any meds. was given the complete rundown by their docs.
Side effects, dangers, etc. Very important.

Why should you!?

B/C I live in the US. I should know how it works, no?...

^^you're correct

That was meaning me?...
That it is in public records.
That is what I thought but wasn't 100%sure.

My friend just called me to say she went to Blockbuster to get BBM and all the copies were rented out at the moment. That makes me happy. He is living on in his works.

I agree that some people turn to sleeping tablets too quickly, when the insomnia could be solved other ways, but noone knows that this was the case here. And with such an intensive filming schedule there may be no other option when you know how much money rests on you performing whenever the camera's running.

I've always had a stigma about them though, since my dad's had no more than 2/3 hours sleep for the past 30 years, yet he refuses to take more than a couple a month. It does seem like a very slippery slope until they become a crutch.

When I heard that MK was called, i automatically assumed it was because she was the masseuse's other client in that building.

Those words from his family break my heart. Just as it did when I watched him as Ennis Del Mar last night.
R.I.P. Heath. You are such a beautiful old soul.

Even if that's the case wasn't MK in CA at the time?...
I just will never understand the woman's reasoning in doing that.

She should have called 911 right away and attempted to revive him.
She just made everything seem shady even if it was, in fact, not.

You are such a beautiful old soul.

He really was. Old Man River.

I kind of feel bad now that "masseuse" might be arrested and charged but spending 9 minutes talking to MK was weird...and MK's behavior was weird. The whole situation has a shade factor right now and I can't imagine his family or Michelle is very pleased...

Although I'm sure he was dead for awhile since he was cold...it was still inappropriate behavior. You learn in elementary school to call 911 in case of emergency...I mean really...

It boggles my mind aswell. It wasnt her apartment(?), why did she call her ,twice, before calling 911 ?
Why did she waste time talking to her?!
I thought the masseuse heard him snore just minutes before?
So how could the body be cold already?

I really need to stop wondering about this.

I deal with insomnia a lot, and I absolutely HATE to take meds but at a certain point you're too exhausted not to. Plus the psychological effects can become very problematic especially when you have to go to work/school or even just be around other people without acting like a complete jerk... :ninja: If the problem is severe enough I agree that smallish changes like eliminating caffeine won't really help.
I agree...and unless you've been in the same boat, you can't really understand...

Well - in my opinon the masseuse probably didn't realize the severity of the situation and didn't want to call the cops and have all the papparazzi show up and cause a huge scandal, in case heath actually woke up and got really mad about it. Maybe, there was some drug use involved on his part and she was aware of it. And maybe celebs being passed out isn't that rare? but, who really knows. Thus, Mary-Kate may have sent private security guards to not cause a scene in case this was just a minor mishap, but I think once they FINALLY realized the situation was serious, she finally called 911. It's a shame that his celeb status seems to be the root of the illogical mishap that occured.

^^ Its too early to determine what killed him; they said I think 2 more weeks as what they found immediately after was 'inconclusive.' I think its too early to start speculating and bad mouthing healthcare systems, doctors etc. You don't know if he told his doctors in other countries what meds he was on or just got new rx in each country, and I know plenty of people that mix their meds w/o consulting anyone. Its def not safe but it happens.

Yes, MK Olsen was on the West Coast; didn't she attend Sundance w/her Wackness co-stars earlier?

I agree w/you BrokenEnglish, something is not right. A few minutes makes a huge difference in whether or not you can 'save' someone in cardiac arrest as they found him or with brain damage (they say pneumonia so maybe breathing/respiratory issues too?).

Unfortunately, since the masseuse was not licensed as a massage therapist she was not required to know CPR so she may not have known what to do to revive him at all. Its just a terrible set of coincidences/circumstances.

And as to publishing the family's thoughts in the newspaper; I don't find it any different than what is published for ordinary private citizens in the obits section of any newspaper you can find. I think it was very touching to read, and also a good way of giving a public statement w/o having to appear in public. I found his father's words very moving.

You are right but I have my frustrations with those things and it's getting the best of me in this situation.

On Yahoo news they have pics of Heath body in a box being taken out of the funeral home, police barricaded the area, but Iam sure TMZ will have the video up

They say the body is being taken to the airport to go home:mellow:

Why was she (masseuse) giving services if she wasnt licensed? Strange.

P.S. Britney's just an idiot in that video. Not surprising.

They mean going home because he is being buried in Australia.
