MICHAEL PITT DIRECTS FOR RAG & BONE: David Neville and Marcus Wainwright think Michael Pitt, Rag & Bone’s men’s campaign front man for three seasons running, is more than a pretty face. For the label’s spring campaign, Pitt was in front of and behind the camera for the label’s first combined men’s and women’s campaign. Pitt made his directorial debut with a 12-minute film, the trailer for which goes live on Rag & Bone’s web site today, costarring Franco-Spanish actress Astrid Bergès-Frisbey (the two acted together in “I Origins”) and British actor Stephen Graham. There is a traditional print component to the campaign too, as Glen Luchford shot still imagery on set throughout filming.

If I didn't see the logo at the bottom I probably wouldn't even realise that this was an ad campaign. That's a good and bad thing I guess...

So the print campaign is by Glen and the video version by Michael? Good! He's indeed perfect fit for Rag & Bone and usually delivers, but I'm growing weary of him. Glad to see Astrid here.

Love the first shot. In fact all of them are good. Astrid really accentuates the cinematic feel of these shots. Now looking forward to see the video and how it will coincide with the print campaign.
