ill rate, since glory isnt here anymore...

8.5/10
restrains his quirkyness... makes wearable clothes with beatiful fabrics, handles texture very well

donatella versace

This one I LOVE! So glam & beautiful 8.5/10

Christian Lacroix

christian lacroix is one of the pillars of moder haute couture, his asthetic is truly original...
even though im not crazy about his work 8/10

i agree with you both, leluna and lena :)

guess around 6/10 she's ok and occasionally fun but nothing too exceptional

Alber Elbaz

Elbaz once again?

A good designer that knows how to dress women in a pretty, dignified way which is basically why I´m giving him a good rating, although I don´t think he´s the most refined cutter (Guesquiere, Theyskens and Chalayan are better in my opinion).

7 out of 10.

I adore his work. He manages to make such elegant, glamorous and chic clothes. He does tend to repeat himself too much and is TOO consistant, the feel he has created for Rochas almost reminds me of when Lagerfeld came and made chanel CHANEL. Theyskens has a long way to go, but he could be one of the modern masters of fashion (behind Galliano and Ghesquiere of course). 8/10

John Galliano at Dior (remember all of his work at Dior...from 97 to 05)

fun, excentric, sexy... with a great knowledge of garment constructing techniques, magician of the bias cut... his time has passed, and he knows it, and therefore he is modifying his aesthetic... i love how he draws inspiration from practically anything

nicolas ghesquiere

John Galliano at Dior?

I definitely liked the fabulously-cut, curvy tailleurs he did when he started the brand... those are definitely modern classics and timelessly chic... just as some from Yohji or Comme.

I haven´t been a big fan of his in the last few years. Showing crazy stuff on the runway to sell toned-down, wearable, yet painfully ordinary luxe clothes was a concept he was wise to abandon off late, although most of the outfits in the last two collections reminded me too much of Chloé or Marni (see S/S 2005´s first "hippie" inspired section or the black-and-white-striped pullover dresses from F/W 2005). Galliano is sadly not at his best right now.

5/10

NEXT PICK:

Esteban Cortazar

EDIT: Sorry, I give in, I was simply too late here... forget my proposal then... :yuk:

Esteban Cortazar

Young designer with tons of talent. Zac Posen of 2005. Does he have staying power? Only time will tell......

Sonia Rykiel

Sonia Rykiel: Cozy, fun sweaters that almost everybody could adapt to his wardrobe... very cute designs at times but, well, you don´t hear too much of her´s nowadays, he? Since I am not too well known with the collection as a whole, I´m not giving a rating here...

NEXT PICK:

Proenza Schouler

ugh. i can see why they are popular w/ their fanbase, but i dislike it. also, they are too over-hyped! 5/10

LOL sorry i messed up !

Viktor and Rolf are dark and intriguing. Great talent, interesting work with layers. Tori Amos playing at a runway show, GENIUS ! 8/10

Helmut Lang

a stylish way of minimalism, simple colours but very nice cutting!

Christopher Bailey

Interesting at times, but some collections (like the F/W 05) are too off and boring.

Hedi Slimane

his work is revolutionary, but not very much so... the slim proportions, the fabrics and the styling is something not quite seen on menswear, but other than that, i dont find him terribly innovating 7.5/10

nicolas ghesquiere

4/10 i really dont like his work, i insist he's a non stop copy machine

Giles Deacon

i'll give a good 7/10 to Alexander, he's talented and plays with originality

Veronique Branquinho
