Some yummy looks, as usual. Now fix the cut to fit the non-stick-figure types, dammit!!!

I get this comment from my work too and I have always wanted to really know- what styles really do compliment a curvier figure in ppls opinion? I suppose my figure is fairly boyish which is my problem.

I would have thought this look (for example) would have suited a curvier figure as it sits snugly under the bust.

This just doesn't really appeal to me at all. I liked a couple things, but the rest just kinda went in one ear and out the other, so to speak.

I loved the first picture, but the rest I didn't care for, with the exception of a few.

Wonderful, I love the puch detail!

I like his stuff a little more destroyed looking though.

Some of it reminds me of Senga Nengudi

what are these--necklaces? these are more interesting than the clothing

I don't know, but I do wonder if he's ever seen Nengudi's art.

She used to work a lot with pantyhose filled with sand, I think it was. She would carry all that she needed to set up an installation or sculpture in her purse, portable art.

i'm been thinking that rick owens is really a one-hit wonder...and i guess i'm not the only one...

from wwd...
Rick Owens: After Rick Owens’ experimental and mostly unwelcome trip out on a limb last season, the designer made the journey back to his classic look. But what was that old expression about being damned if you do and damned if you don’t? The stream of lean fishtail skirts in velvet and nubby wool and skinny pants paired with fur boleros and Owens’ typical jackets quickly became repetitive and uninspiring. The palette of dreary neutrals and the models who were so hobbled by their skirts they moved at an escargot’s pace did little to help his cause. Still, there were some welcome sights, especially a lovely capelike fur coat worn over a floor-length dress. In fact, the most covetable of his pieces were the animal skins, such as the shrunken fur boleros and a seamed shearling jacket. Nonetheless, it’s obvious that Owens needs to move beyond his characteristic grungy rut and bring some new life into his work.

That's my battle cry always,too...but hey,I own several Rick Owens pieces and they are really flattering even though I'm voluptuous:) Have you tried it on?

I particularly love the way each new collection is mixable with the previous...one's wardrobe keeps getting better as favourites are updated.

Very Nice, I've never heard of this designer before. I love this site you guys educate me all the time!

Beautiful pic, Runner :flower:

I'm liking this more and more as I look at it.

I feel like he needs to move on to something else, this is sort of becoming stagnant. What I love about his clothes is how wearable and mature it is. It's something my 55 year old mom could totally wear and look great in.

Agreed, Im not so much a fan of his stuff anymore, just the basic t-shirts are great.

Agreed, I recently saw a show of some kind on the style network, and some older woman (50-ish?) was wearing a rick owens jacket (leather with the 1/2 knit skinny sleeves). It looked quite gorgeous, very mature & classy with an edge. It reaffirmed my suspicions that his stuff is 'ageless'.

I'm sorry, but those shoes look atrocious to me...
