Etro, I know the first run of them had quality issues, I hope they've fixed that by now!

I heard 2 stories of the mens heels where it broke off.

So I went into the store today to try the wedge boots but alas while I could get the left side on fine (which is actually my bigger foot), I simply could not get the right foot in no matter how hard I tried. :(
Barneys may be getting them so we'll see if it was just something weird with that one pair.

I got these drop crotch pants with leather skirt attached instead!

the quality issue with men's wedges this season that i have heard from four different sources is that the seams split .
the french blond boy who was photographed in jakandjil blog in the ro wedges from this season was also on a you tube video saying his boots split the first week, but he was waiting until after fashion week to return them.
my snakeskin sharkfins from spring are doing fine.

I saw Charles (the dude on that Pernet video) and another guy's boots as they were unraveling and it literally happened within 48 hrs. They had serious QA issues and the Paris store sent all the boots back to the factory. I know a girl who bought the women's version at the same time and hers had some problems too. I assume the next batch will be ok but to be honest they're not that well constructed (mostly glued) so don't expect miracles. The same models made from other materials seem fine for some reason and prior seasons too.

I saw some men's shearling in the book, but I don't know when that'll arrive...I think there are some version for women as well...I have been thinking about it...but not sure if a leather jacket and a shearling is too much skin in one season lol...

Foxie leave some for the others aswel! x

Pucci in the lookbook some shearlings were shown so i'm sure the boutiques will get them, I am pretty sure they are still awaiting half of the collection to come in.
I think that this season one of the shearlings is slightly longer and has the silk tie on the waist.
The london boutique now has pieces from Palais Royal :crush:

Edit:
I found a picture:

the baove is THE best shearling for AW imo but with the ash shearling lining for the contrast!

I bought the classic bikerish one...very nice:heart:
As for the shearling jacket, I tried it on (with cream/ash/whatever the colour was) so they def. have them this season (but there was no belt and less long as the above)!

An exhibition of furniture by fashion designer Rick Owens, including a set of chairs with antlers, will open at Sebastian+Barquet gallery in London in September.

Rick Owens: Evolution
A Selling Exhibition of Furniture
London
Oscar Humphries and Rudy Weissenberg present a collection of furniture by Rick Owens. Several entirely new pieces will be presented, representing developing themes in a powerful and genuine design expression. The pieces are produced in small limited editions and prices are kept deliberately modest.

Now for the first time in London the independent show by Oscar and Rudy will take place at Sebastian + Barquet in Bruton Place. “This is a new partnership for Oscar and I” says Rudy Weissenberg. “We are truly thrilled to be working with Rick Owens. I’ve seen his work evolving since the early days in California and it’s extremely exciting.”
Made from unusual materials—resin, bones, concrete, plywood, cashmere and fibreglass—the collection includes sofas, chairs, lighting and other pieces sculpted in austere architectural shapes, sometimes on a very large scale.
Owens describes his inspirations as “Biblical, Brutalist, Bauhaus and Bakersfield.” The deeply luxurious is effortlessly blended with the minimalist, and the romantic married to the avant-garde. Antlers and bones are sometimes included, flying from the corner of a chair as if hinting at archaic, subconscious narratives and dreams. He takes his lead from much-admired masters: Le Corbusier, Jean Prouve, Jo Colombo and Jacques-Emile Rhullman.

[...]

“We’re proud to show Rick Owens furniture in London for the first time, and especially to show several entirely new pieces” says Oscar Humphries, a figure fast becoming seminal in London’s design/art scene. “ It’s something entirely new and deeply creative. Like a true prophet Rick Owens lives what he preaches.”

I would love to own some Rick owens furniture... one day...:innocent::heart:

The London boutique had already had a shipment of their shearling and sold out of them, I am not looking for something too dramatic I just want quite a classic shape with shearling, I like the texture of materials speak for themselves.

I am on some list should something which fits my description come in... I am in no rush as Rick does shearling almost every season, and I want it to be classic, I am not a fan over the silk/fur/leather mix.

those pieces are beautiful actually! i have a thing for antler decoration but this takes it to another level.

Furniture? check. ok Rick, now give us a Lilies bedding line! I need to be sleeping not only *in* but ON his Lilies fabric!

^^ hahahahaha - good point! And a shearling blanket for those cold nights....

ETRO - love the pant/skirt piece. And Michelle, the fold detailing on those wedges is awesome. I hope the quality isn't compromised.
It's definitely disappointing that this season's shoes are sub-par, but at least they seem to be acknowledging the quality issues. Hopefully the next round will have better QA/QC.

oooh...his leather shearling in the form of a blanket...nice idea!
