I'm secretly waiting around waiting for them to come into style. :flower:

:(

My last show I used riding boots for men, I love them

I don't see why not, guys have been wearing them for centuries :flower: And they must be available, for their actual purpose ... I believe we have a thread about this that luckyme started (she's an equestrienne) ... should be in the Shoes forum.

Awesome. I notice that they appear in a lot of scifi films -- star wars...aaannddd...well, can't think of others at the moment. But they always look pretty good, on equestrians as well. But I don't like the rest of the traditional equestrian look as much..

Good point. Though I almost sort of wish other people wore them too, I like to see how good people look in them. One of these days I'm going to find the perfect pair of them too..

i'm confused, which are you guys talking about:

They were everywhere for F/W 09-10.
I praised the lord as I adore them.
Riding boots and lace up boots.

nego00 -- the second pair. the knee-high type is just fantastic.

I love it too! But I'm not sure if I would have the guts to rock them!

Where's that second pair from?

I like the look. Personally I have quite large calves from biking so I think in my size I would be out of luck or need something custom.

The ankle boot option should work for you though ... many women have the same issue with full-length boots ... I believe we have around here somewhere a thread with solutions

I think it looks fantastic. A lot of guys in my town are wear boots.

If you look at the collections for F/W 2009/10, a few designers showed riding boots (or similar ones) as part of their collection. Besides E. Zegna, who I mentioned in an other thread, Philip Sparks, Ann Demeulemeester, John Galliano, , Rick Owens
or Alexander McQueen.

So - if you have "normal size feet" for a man there are some models you can choose from.

I love the look, and would love to try it at some point.

Boston is a bit too conservative and old skool to have this be very popular around here though. Sadly.

My problem is finding the perfect fitting pants that can be tucked into the boots without riding up an bunching at the top of the boot.
