That photo is gorgeous.
He was beautiful throughout his entire life, but I love the photos of him from that age/time.

^ True, although of course the sad thing is he never actually lived long enough to completely grow into his adult face... He was just becoming, facially, the man he should have been when he died.

Why he was taken so early is a great sadness, he was such a talent, and I have to think of his family who to this day most likely cry for River on occasion, maybe more, they have to think of that sweet face daily and what he'd be doing with his life now if he was still around.
Death and the way he died really suck.

I believe the accounts were ' Alison' and ' allison durham photography' and ' Fans of River', ' River Phoenix M E M O R Y', 'River Phoenix', and 'Riv'.

I had to try and piece that back together, because I just used the image search function and that doesn't tell you the image source. Hope that's all correct though

That photo with the bleached hair is so gorgeous. Never seen it.

I know its not exactly 100% relevant but back in 1995 when Hole performed their song, "Violet" at the MTV VMA's Courtney dedicated the song partly to River.

^^ That site has been linked to before, Cado, and I agree GREAT pictures, although I feel I should point out again that no pictures from that site can be reposted elsewhere.

That dedication from Hole is lovely. Both Hole and Nirvana dedicated songs to River. I guess his death hit home with the Cobains. I wonder if they actually knew or met River? He didn't seem to be into grunge in the way that Keanu was ( he hung out with the Chilli's and his music didn't seem to have grunge influence, and he never mentioned Nirvana when talking about his fav bands), yet both Kurt and Courtney seemed to have been touched by River's death in a personal way... but maybe that's because it was a young drugs death of a beautiful person " out of his depth in Hollywood". I can see how that would resonate with the Cobains back then.

At 9:51am ( my time) tomorrow, it will have been 16 years exactly since River's time of death. Since I doubt I'll be online, I'll just take this moment to say thank you to River for all he's given me. I pray that he continues to rest in peace. River lived and he was beautiful. River is forever beautiful. He is a waterfall.
