Roberto Cavalli F/W 2008.09 Milan

I never expected to say this about Cavalli in a complaint, but this lacks oppulance  And the quality seems horrid. It looks badly fit at times and just not right :(

Cavalli's designs have always been to me a cheap looking copy of Versace's designs. The clothes are often tacky and ugly, unlike Versace which borders on tacky but sorta looks more expensive.

so its not the animal prints that make his stuff horrible...this is such an ugly collection :X

I dislike it, not that I was expecting much from him. I was very surprised to see how much he stepped out of his comfort zone to design something totally different -- not my forte.

And those damned tiaras cheapen the look.

I'm so disappointed! What is with the high school prom look? The tiaras are just awful, it must be a joke!

What a pile of useless crap. I mean some dresses are nice but the prints are old and nasty. And I hate how the dresses stop at the ankles, thats so cheap. SHoes are totally vomitrocious (if thats a word).

It's hard to say how I feel about the entire collection overall - I'm sort of 50/50 on it. I do love this outfit (and each individual piece):

But those leopard-trimmed coats are heinous.

Nothing will beat F/W 06/07 for me... He seamlessly blended glamour and sex with a rich sense of worldliness and sophistication in that collection.

He seems a little lost lately, as if he feels the need to be something he is not, something more esoteric. There will always be a need for sexy clothes, there lies a vixen in every woman. He just needs to strike that right balance again because most of this is just plain dowdy.

Bad. Where's the Cavalli luxury and glamour ala F/W 06 and F/W 07?

This looks like Blumarine or BluGirl.
