Rochas F/W 13.14 Paris

I'd have to disagree, I find this all so very romantic. I LOVE the opening look.

Meh. Some pieces are wearable, other pieces look like frumpy sleepwear.

Artistically this is beautiful , though the dresses are a bit frumpy for me and I personally do hate new look/poodle skirts but they work well on the runway. The pieces that work well are the pajama inspired ensembles, sweaters and coats.

Though I quite like Marco Zanini's Rochas, I'm a bit bored of it being stuck in the 1950's. It never seems to have that fabulous spark to it that Peter Copping's Nina Ricci has.
Plus, I know anything satin is a nightmare to work with (I've been there) but that blue calf-length tube dress looks terribly constructed, and the bride's dress doesn't appear to fit well at all.
It's a rather bland, forgettable collection, I'm afraid.

Oh.. hmm.. it's nice. Yes some of this does remind me of sleepwear, though.

There are some very charming looks in this collection, though I'm not too fond of the styling.

there's something sloppy going on with a lot of these proportions that i just can't get on board with

I love it! I could see my grandmother and my twenty year old sister wearing every single piece. My sister despises fashion, designer clothes, etc. and would rather go barefoot than wear heels, but she saw this and was determined to have it all. I have to say I never get tired of how genuinely 50's all his collections look, last season and fall 2012 stepped away from that era for a bit but I always like seeing him come back to what he does best, retro-chic.

Half of the collection looks very nice, very nostalgic. I don't like the balloon over coat and the dress; I know he may tried to introduce new shape but it wasn't pretty at all.

a pretty stellar collection, I love his take on the new look, much more relaxed and relevant. I like the mumsy english vibe as well.

Frumpy sleepwear and a terrible sillhouette indeed but I strangely have a soft spot for poodle skirts. :crush:
I'm getting very tired of the mod vibe.

I liked the pajama inspired pieces and the knits, I hated the poodle skirts but they do work well on the runways.

THE 2ND look of the jacket and the shoes just look odd...its as if shes wearing a giant's clothes.
