Rolling Stone October 2019: Taylor Swift by Erik Madigan Heck

Jesus Christ will she stop milking that Kanye story anytime soon? Everyone. EVERYONE. Got over that! It's about time she did too... can't believe they're selling this as ''one of the most revealing interviews of her career'' when all she's been doing for those last three years is re-telling the same story over and over again to keep herself somewhat relevant outside of her fanbase. Pathetic. Which also describes the cover, btw

AMEN!!! She needs to stop playing the victim. And she needs to stop looking so pale on this cover. Such an eyesore.

I think she keeps telling it because she keeps getting asked by every interviewer, hoping she’ll trash Kanye. And because a vast number of people who aren’t Taylor’s fans love to attribute her fame to that very incident.

Don’t care for this cover at all.

I think the cover looks very striking with the zesty eye makeup and porcelain skin, and it's great that Erik is booking these odd titles.
As for Taylor, I'm sure she'll be on her deathbed and will still keep score of everyone who did her wrong. From the ex-boyfriends to Kim and Kanye to Scooter. Agreed that she needs to stop with this narrative.

I love the cover and the spread inside, the make up, the colors, her face (Vogue, take note here) buuuuut...

I'm a Taylor fan but I'm so sick of this narrative again and again and again and again. Why keep playing the victim if she can admit that she is a b***h? She did it in "reputation" era, she throw shade to Kim´s Paris assault and even Katy Perry and everyone praised her because of that (except me because I love Kim).

She has an amazing ability to surf wave after wave of victimhood while clearly coming first in so many aspects of life.

Artists have always used bad times as inspiration for good songs, but she goes further by creating an entire public persona that centres around these events.

Any other tall, blonde, beautiful, rich, successful, independent woman constantly complaining about how life has done her wrong - her boyfriends, her friends, her fellow artists, her record company, the public, the internet etc - would be ripped to shreds, but Taylor Swift keeps skipping on. Not only has she tapped into something the public clearly wants, she's kept the formula going for a long time. She's skilled at what she does, and it isn't just songwriting.

I honestly do not like to trash famous people, because I do not know them and Taylor could be the nicest woman in real life, but I am so tired of her interviews. Always talking about that Kim/Kayne story- GET OVER IT!! Although I find how "woke" attitude even more annoying, constantly talking about this when she ignored all those issues for years. You just know everything that comes of out of mouth is fake fake fake fake and she does not care a single bit about queer or black lives. She just wants their $$.

Getting asked by every interviewer.... she controls what questions she can be asked or not, I'm sure her team reviewed every single question, thought about how to twist it and answered.

It's getting tired playing the victim and answering everything with I didn't know, I didn't expect this, I would have never imagined, I never saw this coming and also in the same interviews... I really don’t want to talk about it anymore, I’m not like him, making crazy, petty accusations about the past and does a whole PR planned interview about it.
