I so agree with this assesement, I think only Ryan and Sean Penn can actually be compared to the great Brando in terms of intensity, charisma and talent. Ugh he is just so good, it kills me that they are overlooking Ryan this award season. Just sucks.

I really wish Ryan won't get snubbed this time again. I also secretly wish the Gangster Squad filming could go on and on and on and on... He is so perfect in those suits and hats.

Ryan Gosling shares a laugh with Josh Brolin while on the set of Gangster Squad on Monday (December 5) in Los Angeles.
The 31-year-old actor took off his suit jacket and ran to his next location when it was time to resume filming.
When Bradley Cooper was named People’s sexiest man of the year, there was much backlash that Ryan deserved the honor. Bradley recently gave an interview where he talked about Ryan.
“There was such a backlash to when they announced it and Ryan Gosling, who I love…[but] a friend of mine showed me photographs from the paparazzi — And it’s like him walking around and he literally looks like he’s in a photoshoot,” Bradley said of how he thinks Ryan is attractive!

Ryan Gosling looks dapper on the set of Gangster Squad during a late night shoot on Thursday (December 8) in Hollywood.
The 31-year-old actor, along with co-stars Josh Brolin and Michael Pena, filmed an action scene with guns on Hollywood Boulevard.
“[Ryan has] had an amazing year between Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Ides of March, and Drive. Those are three really distinct and awesome performances and a huge part of why I was so excited to work with him,” director Ruben Fleischer recently told EW.
“There is paparazzi, but there is paparazzi wherever we go. I think that’s the nature of making a big movie in a big city. And it doesn’t seem, in any way, to have effected Ryan. He seems pretty focused on his character and his performance,” he added.

I'm so torn between Ryan and Fassy, it's getting crazy. Gosling has always been my number #1, everybody knows it. But lately (F)assbender is getting closer to my top spot. And he really put me on my knees with SHAME, when Ryan is too busy cheating on me with Eva Mendes. So just for that my vote goes to Fassmelter 
But they both completely deserve it, if only we could get Leo out of the list already.

Can someone explain to me why, or better yet HOW DiCaprio is nominated? Wasn't J. Edgar a flop, and what's more critically panned? I mean, Leo's a good actor but seriously. Anyways, Ryan looks good in the 1950s costumes. So sleek and just all around swag. Love the hats he's been wearing.
^ I think with those awards shows they look at the individual performance when it comes to Best Actor/Actress nominations. Leo's performance was widely praised even though the film itself wasn't well-received. Anyways, I'm excited that Ryan was nominated. It means we get to see him in more fabulous suits come awards season.
