the shows were ages ago and yet its taken me this long to compile the hottest trends for the season. chack out what is hot (with a little help from vogue) at my blogspot http://mindisworld.blogspot.com/
-ROCK AND ROLL STYLE
Beatnik and bohemian are'nt all the rage, a leather coat and minimal accessories combined make an impact when paired with a understated biker hat that frames your face. Balenciaga Spring 2006, Paris
-ITS ALL IN THE NUDE
Nude-toned dresses and garments are being embraced by a number of designers, particular John Galliano of Dior, whose nude motif stems from his reknown couture collection in Paris last summer. Sequined dresses and tops are more impressionable on nude pastels, with such garments showcasing assets to be proud of and concealing the less pleasing to the eye elements to the body. Dior by John Galliano Paris, Gianni Versace Milan
-MINIMALLY WORN
Minimalisim has been the major mood of the season coming from spring 2006. White oversized blouses are replacing the exubrant bohemian prints that dominated the highstreet last summer. Minimal need'nt be boring: pair up a beautiful white or biege shirt with thin beads or pearls. Giles by Giles Deacon, London Spring 2006

i'd say sequined is definitely out after being so over-done last year on the british high street, but other than that i'd say you were spot on and have the same ideas as me for the coming season.
I would definitely have to agree with you on the minimalism.
Though the nude look appeared on many runways, I don't know how well it will translate into the mainstream or the "in."
The nude-look looks really good on the catwalk, but I doubt it looks like that at us normal girls. it's looks kinda businesslike, which is not really my style. At least the first picture, the second one looks more natural, which is nice. Still I doubt it will be the next trend, it take a lot of guts to walk around like that.
what are the color and fabric trends for s/s 2006?
still satins and chiffons?
are bright colors - apple green, aqua blue, fuschia pink, etc still fashionable?
