Don't know if this belongs here, but...

Prescriptives - the makeup line - is having a sale to promote one of their new foundations. I use another one of their foundations - admittedly, only when I wear makeup, which is almost never - and it is *awesome* AND matte, AND has SPF.

Anyway, the promotion is that you buy a foundation and you get a little bag full of really cool Prescriptives cosmetics in sample sizes. The sale is only online, at their website.

I recently found a new NYC website that alerts you to all of the good sample sales, web sales and even boutique sales in the city. I don't think she's fully off the ground yet - but, I still like it though because last week she was going to the sample sales herself and then posting whether or not it was worth you time to go as well

I was there last year around mid-october....ridiculous sale...buy five items or more and get 90% off....albeit not much was left wen I arrived (but I still managed to walk away wit five items...hehe)

The annual sale starts Sept 30 and runs for 2 weeks.

My friend went to the Prada sample sale in NYC last season and she found some really nice items...at least for Prada. That sale is accesible to the public, as long as you book a time.
