Sasha gave VP a little interview about her favourite children's stories in this month's supplement. It's not on the vogueparis site but I can type it up if anyone is interested, it's very sweet.

-Quel conte allez vous raconter á votre enfant?
j'adorerais lui raconter le conte merveilleux de La Demoiselle des neiges, Snegurochka en version originale. C'est l'histoire de la fille du Printemps et du Gel. Elle tombe amoureuse d'un humain, puis elle fond…et renaît l'année suivante. C'est aussi l'assistante du Père Noel russe!
-Enfant, quelles étaient vos histoires préférées?
j'étais une inconditionnelle de Fifi Brindacier d'Astrid Lingren, du Magicien d'Oz, de La Belle et la Bête…J'étais terrorisée par La Reine des Neiges d'Hans Christian Andersen, mais j'ai appris á travers ce conte qu'on pouvait sauver quelqu'un grâce á la puissance de l'amour.
-Quels sont vos meilleurs souvenirs?
Le moment où ma mère me lisait une histoire, juste avant que je m'endorme. C'était très…doux.
-Que voudriez-vous transmettre á votre enfant au travers des contes?
Je voudrais lui faire passer un message d'amour. Lui faire comprendre que l'amour peut transcender la vie, que mentir rend les choses plus difficiles, qu'elle souffrira si elle blesse quelqu'un de faible.
-A partir de quel âge allez-vous lui raconter des histoires?
J'ai déjà commencé!

-Which stories will you tell your child?
I would love to tell them the marvellous story of The Snow Maiden, Snegurochka in the original version. It's the story of the daughter of Spring and Frost. She falls in love with a human then she melts…and is reborn the following year. She is also the assistant to the Russian Father Christmas!
-As a child, what were your favourite stories?
I was a huge fan of Fifi Brindacier by Astrid Lingren, The Wizard of Oz, The Beauty and the Beast…I was terrorised by The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, but I learned from the story that one can save someone with the power of love.
-What are your best memories?
The moment when my mother would read to me a story, just before I went to sleep. It was very…calm.
-What would you like to pass on to your child through stories?
I would like to pass on a message of love. To make them understand that love can transcend life, that lying makes things more difficult, that she will suffer if she hurts another who is weaker.
-At what age will you read them stories?
I have already started!
