Scandal is an American political thriller television series starring Kerry Washington. Created by Shonda Rhimes, it debuted on ABC on April 5, 2012. Kerry Washington's character, Olivia Pope, is partially based on former George Bush administration press aide Judy Smith, who serves as a co-executive producer. The show takes place in Washington, D.C. and focuses on Olivia Pope's crisis management firm, Pope & Associates, and its staff, as well as staff at the White House.

I love it. Here's hoping to see way more scenes between Olive & POTUS. They make the show.

true.. am sure the first lady is going to be revealed as a villain in the second season

I loved the first season even though I think Olivia came to strong in some scenes.

Does anyone know if 2nd season will also have just 6 episodes?

WTF just happened at the end of last episode? I didn't see that coming at all.

am watchign season 2 and it just keeps getting better! Cant believe whats happening Ms.Pope is in a whole lot of trouble

Yeah !! Scandal is amazing ! And so glad there is way less Olivia & Potus ! The new guy is way more interesting ! So glad for Kerry, she deserves all the success she is having those days ^^

Ahh, there's a thread for the show!!

I'm completely addicted to Scandal and its wtf and omg moments...

season 1 is coming to France now and I hope it gets all the attention and audience it deserves, it's so (sadly) exceptional to have a series with a black female lead.

I always like a conniving first lady and Melly doesnt dissapoint

Kerry & Tony/Olitz on the new Entertainment Weekly:

This week's cover: Crazy in love with 'Scandal'
by EW staff

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and her astute band of associates specialize in solving problems — from the outrageous and illicit to the shocking and salacious. But we — and millions of weekly viewers — find ourselves with one problem that even they can’t fix: We’re addicted to Scandal. This week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly goes behind the scenes of television’s sexiest drama for a journey through its rise to a show that has taken over our TVs — and Twitter feeds — thanks in part to the forbidden romance between Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn). “I feel like The West Wing brought us Washington as we’d all want it to be,” explains Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes. “And this show brings us Washington as we hope it would never be.”

And that, of course, is what makes ABC’s Scandal such a fun, live-tweet-every-oh-my-God–moment viewing experience. Every Thursday between 10 and 11 p.m., hordes of fans gather online to do just that: The show has averaged more than 220,000 tweets per episode since January, according to SocialGuide; some of these fans include Oprah Winfrey, Lena Dunham, and Mary J. Blige. “Bill Clinton was another person where I was like, ‘What?! You watch Scandal?!’” Washington says. “I feel like it happens at least once a week — that I am totally floored by somebody who watches the show.”

As the show barrels toward its second season finale on May 16, Rhimes and executive producer Betsy Beers give EW the scoop about what’s coming up for Olivia and her gladiators. Teases Rhimes, “If people think we’re burning through story now, they’re going to be very shocked at what happens in the next few episodes.”

To hear Kerry Washington call Tony Goldwyn a real “grumpy pants,” check out the exclusive behind-the-scenes video of the duo at our cover shoot below. (Okay, fine, she’s talking about Fitz — but still, it’s cute.) And to see the two trade roles and re-enact a scene from season 2, visit our Facebook page.

For much more on Scandal, pick up this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly, on newsstands Friday, April 5.

Scandal's currently my favorite show. Can't get enough of it.

nice cover though i also dont like her with the prez it softens her

I just caught on to this show last week. It's very good, I'm watching from now on.

^ Me too! Boyfriend and I watch at least 5 episodes a day  We love it! Plus, the "President" is damn hot :brows: :shifty:

Although two things drive me craaazy: the annoying camera flash transitions (gonna give me a seizure one day...) and Olivia Pope's wardrobe! Unflattering and far too matronly!

This is my favorite show. I have to say that there were parts of the Season Finale that I liked and disliked however. I'm looking forward to the 3rd season and hopefully certain WTF! moments will be explained. ^_^
