someone from the hollywood reporter tweeted that word was increasing that voters can't/won't handle it...

Thank god 12 Years a Slave won in at least one category, I'm hoping it does better at the other awards shows (Oscars, BAFTA's, etc). The cast and crew really did create an amazing film. Overall though, this award show was nice, I liked that there were some surprises.
