Scandinavian Street Style #1

This makes me kind of sad. I think many of these people do dress like average Americans, but their clothes seem in better shape.

When I usually think of Swedish style, I think of more wool clothing. Is this at all accurate? If so, it certainly doesn't seem to suit contemporary Swedish style (and certainly not summer style anywhere!). Here's an example of what I mean (from mikas.se). Does anyone see people dressed like this? Or am I just making it up?

Lol... We only wear wool during the winter months here in Scandinavia ;)

:woot: nice scans, mette. i love how the danish seem to be fully aware of trends but they never go over the top...they're very confident about it.

I implied that. But is it common in winter?

Well, here in Norway wool as well as cashmere is very common during the winter. Wool is great because it breathes. :flower: The pic you posted lookes chic, but the average scandinavian usually wear like a thin wool sweater or cardi with jeans.

I think Swede_s latest post is a much more true picture of how people really dress in Sweden, or at least where I live (Göteborg).
There could be a more reasonable amount of pictures from sites like hel-looks.com and stureplan.se in this thread, the quantity of those styles in this thread doesn't really reflect the quantity of that style in the streets. And why torture ourselves with too many gothic lolitas and fake tans when we don't have to? :p :flower:

i like the dress-leggings combo in the first two pictures
thanks for posting :flower:

hel-looks is back from its summer break ^_^

No I can say that the Scandinavians do not dress like Americans.some styles look like the Americans then some of the others are out there but i like it.

 the pics from stureplan reminded me of why I left sthlm...
And the "alternative" people from Sofo all look like clones with their cheap monday/acne/H&M/black leggings...

When i was in Sweden this year,i was amazed...i mean everyone was wearing sooooo nice outfits and i was like "Oh look at her,oh no wait wait look at the girl on right,or no wait look at the left one"

You guys rock!!!!
The only problem is that all Swedish girls look the same:lol:

Here in Iceland I see people dressed like that...but that´s how Americans dress too so :p ! I see a lot of people wearing wool sweaters, and windbreaker jacket things too, I dunno if it´s fair to say that they dress like Americans though, I think it´s just to say that many people everywhere dress in the same style.

Alternative... Despise that I own Cheap Mondays and black leggings, I couldn't agree more with you. It's many of these in Norway too.

What is really annoying about especially Norway is the big amount of "glamour models" who has popped up the last years.
They are all so tacky.

Here's some examples:

Haha, you gotta love Aylar. She seems so funny and I don't think there's much more than cotton inside her head. She's cute and she's not blonde. Love her!

well, ahem, I own a few pair of CM's too... nothing wrong with the individual pieces, it just gets so weird when it's supposed to be an "individual" style and everywhere you look people are wearing exactly the same outfits.
