School Rules Suck

I have this pair of Express jeans... They had whiskers that were too bleached i guess cuz they totally fell apart (the whiskers right in front of my pockets). So I still like them so i put some nice white fabric behind the tears so that im not flashin anyone my goods at all, perfectly covered, but I got sent home for not being "dressed for success." Apparently my straight A average isnt successful enough. Anywho, should I try wearing them again considering there are girls around school who have holes all over their pants that show lots of skin who dont get in trouble? Whats your opinion?

Well... Before ninth grade, I went to a private girls' school where (excuse me, but) the teachers there had their faces stuck up so high in their (ahem) arses that we weren't even allowed to roll the sleeves up our sleeves or roll down our socks. We had special clips that helped keep our socks up. I guess they thought that they were so elite and prestigious that they couldn't allow the students to roll up their sleeves... So, just to let you know... I understand the feeling.

Just listen to the rules.. get good grades.. and get the hell out of there when you graduate...

Yeah, i think i may just wear them the last day of school, just to test the waters, lol. But im graduating may 29. Wee! Then i gets to go to College and do my theatre major!!!!!!!! *Sigh* And there will be hott boys.

If you're a rebel, keep pushing. If you don't want to get in trouble , throw away those jeans (sounds like they should be thrown away anyway if they just fell apart). Simple as that.

I detest dress codes in school, my only dress code is as long as it's legal and not offensive to people, oh, and no hot pants, ever.

I absolutey hate ridicilous behaviour coming from teachers regarding clothing choices. I was lucky, my high school was very liberal with its dress code. It was (and probably is) known as the "gay school" or "the arty school" thanks to the large amount of mohawks, fishnet and facepaint. Our vice principal with a nickname "Douchebag" had the "three b's", no butts, no bras, no bellies". Once she had beef with my friends bra straps showing, so she took her bra off in front of her! Not much happened, I understand she just received a "call home". Dun dun dun...

I told the school where they could go stick it and wore a suit for my six years of uniform. Schools have this thing about not expelling straight A students...

School uniforms , whether they be blazers , sweaters , suits etc , give a corporate feeling to members of a school and allow the less affluent the ease of NOT being at a disadvantage when it comes to personal appearance .

The label race causes SO much needless unhappiness , as I have seen .

you think thats bad in my school the uniform has regulation underwear and set shirts and jumpers and tights and shoes and skirts etc. lol they are very strict. school coat as well.

but now i get to wear my own clothes we are not aloud ripped or faded jeans. we are not aloud sandels or flipflops or strappy tops or cleavge or midrift showing. they are so so strict.

I agree with you completely Kit. My school had no uniform and it was very much the way you describe.....

I went to a school like that in Copenhagen - I kept getting 'warnings' for rolling up my sleeves

Ahem. Obviously making such strict rules is very unfair. But guess what.... ...you only have a few years left at that school, so unless you want to be kicked out of school just follow those stupid rules.....

You'll see in a few years you'll be able to wear as many holes as you want in your pants.
