Sean by Sean Combs: womens collection

i completely agree w/ what meme has said , and i am appalled her post got deleted. i guess we'll keep things 'light' from now on :X !!! i don't think she was accusing, aside from the obvious comment made by acid, that anyone in particular was racist. and so what if people brought it up? it certainly has some relation to the sean john thread whether it makes you comfortable for not, or whether anyone personally made any comments...this is a forum for discussion, about fashion and everyting that relates to it. i was really open for further discussion regarding this, and i was willing to keep an open mind, and i do agree that members may not be articulating their point of view in the clearest way, so it could come off badly. that is fine, i struggle with this myself. i'm sorry if people were personally offended, i did not intend that. but i do this it is important to at least ackowledge this. i feel it will only open up people's minds.

This is why we don't have this conversation here and posts are deleted. People are implying that Acid is racist, when none of his comments were concretely racist. He hasn't even had the chance to reply to all of this yet. Innocent until proven guilty. This is The Fashion Spot, not the Hey I Think He Might Have Intended Racism So I'm Offended Now Spot. Let's drop this. These conversations never lead anywhere good, no matter how positive the intentions. That's why we don't talk about politics here, either.

alex please refer to acid's post in the 'hoodie' thread in trendspotting. that's all i'm going to say about this anymore.

This is so frustrating. So you've been going on posts in other threads that others may or may not have read to accuse him in this thread? Not a good idea. If you want to compile people's comments from various threads to make an ultimately pointless argument for yourself, do so in a new thread, then let that be deleted.

You have the final word AlexN.

Stay on topic people!!!!!!!!!! Sean by Sean Combs clothing is what we should be discussing. Now back on topic!

please we've been trying to get this discussion back on topic for like hours, lets drop it and get on with the discussion.. or else i'll just delete all posts that are pushing this discussion off topic,
thanks for your co-operation

This thread is sad. Anyway... I don't really care for it but it's not bad. I liked this one but of course it's plain but still nice.

^ I could not agree more! You go Modelmama!:P

Seriously, sometimes I feel people see Diddy and think 'ghetto crap'... that is unfair.

I personally admire him for his accomplishments and would not consider him tacky...

I agree with ModelMama and Plastic's Wife! Great points. I used to think diddy was overrated but when I stopped looking at all the hype and really focused on the man, and his drive, tenacity and genius...I had to tip my hat to him. Diddy is smart for all he has done.....

Further proof that this line is total crap. This outfit could easily be found at non designer stores like Club Monaco, Express or Zara...... Or even CHEAPER stores.....

it's so nice to read something positive!

it is SOOOO easy to hate, and to endlessly criticize. it takes intelligence to see that there is more than one way to view things, no matter now passionately you may feel about your particular way. thank you, happiness.

will somebody reply to the sean john, sean combs situation please..

i really dont understand why all those names/brands
is it one and the same, or what?

I've never been confused by the lines. To me it's no different when you have other brands that bring you cheaper lines or higher end lines. I suppose if Mr. Combs were to say "Sean John Cheap and Chic" all confusion would end.

And P.Diddy and Puffy were the only monikors I've known the man to have. He went from Puffy to P.Diddy pretty easy to follow (to me), sorta like how Prince went from Prince to the sign and or symbol.

I still don't like what I've seen, but I'd be willing to see the whole line before saying I outright hate it lol. :innocent:

At first I shared the popular sentiment that the clothes is no good. But then you have to realize...He is a business man. He is just offering a product to a specified audience that will probably buy it. Before we turn our heads in disgust let's figure out who this audience is?

exactly...

why don't pop stars leave fashion alone..
imagine hedi or miucia or anna sui starting a singing career, whouldnt that be ridiculously hillarious?

i used to feel this way, particularly about actors or models trying to be musicians.

and now i realized life is too short to let other people dictate for you what you are going to do with your time and your creative energy. why not fail miserably at anything you have the guts to do? nobody has to buy your album, or your perfume, or your bad book of poetry. but if you really want to do it anyway, you absolutely should, and best of luck to you.

no regrets!:mohawk:
