Thanks much, softgrey! This contest is really cool! I'm honestly not sure if I can enter, seeing as I've actually got a LOT to draw at the moment (I'm doing a comic book series), and I'm not so sure how good I'd be, but hey! Maybe I'll be inspired with some idea and just HAVE to enter!

Oh, and sorry--I'm going away for a funeral for a few days, so ya won't see more designs from me for a while!

hah, i've noticed that many people tend to draw themselves,
not only as body type and as a style too.
i've difficulties with feminine, curvy characters for example

Sorry I haven't been posting lately! I've been super busy!! Anyway, I don't know if any of you are interested, but I thought I'd put it out there that I can now announce that I'm doing a three-volume comic book series with a publishing company called TOKYOPOP!!! I do anime-style comics (of course with my own style mixed into that), and TOKYOPOP is basically the biggest anime comic publisher in the U.S. What this means is I'll be in most Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks, and Borders stores when my books come out. But I wouldn't expect my first one to come out for another year. I wish I could go faster but it's about 170 pages per volume! Anyway, the series is called "Fool's Gold", and here's the basic premise:
Penny, an aspiring fashion designer, comes to a realization that every girl at her school is fatally drawn to jerks. She decides to form an underground club that identifies these jerks and cures her members' addictions to them. Penny's nickname for these jerks is "Pyrite", or "Fool's Gold", thus the title.

So that's the surface plot, but really, I'd say this series is about love, fashion, deceit, labels, growing up, and the complexity of human nature.

It's set in a mountain touristy town in Colorado.

Anyway, fashion is a BIG part of this story and I hope I can pull off making nice-looking clothes so I don't make a total fool of myself!!!
