September 2005 covers

Not a very flattering photo of Aniston on Vanity Fair... not flattering at all... I surprised they went with that shot.

Where is Men's Vogue available?

i believe mens vogue is being packaged with the women's vogue, but i'm not sure...so i'd say near the middle/late part of august

please do not post pics of mag covers in this thread...

major mags (us vogue/bazaar/elle, uk vogue/elle, vogue italia, vogue paris) should have their own thread.

other mags (like glamour, lucky, allure, cosmo, etc) should be posted in the "what mags have you bought/read recently" thread

thanks! :flower:

And all f*cking celebs. So lame. I want f*cking models damn it! lol

Thanks so much for starting this board!

Why would Vogue/Bazaar/Elle give in to attention whores?? Parker, Moore, and Lopez don't even have films to promote.

JLo and SJP have new films coming up in the next few months...

Jennifer Lopez has a new film, "An Unfinished Life" with Morgan Freeman. It comes out Sept 9. Plus she's promoting her new Sweetface line.

SJP is promoting her new fragrance "Lovely", plus she has three movies that are coming out soon.

Demi Moore is riding on the coattails of ther Versace campaign...she was in French Vogue last month too.

Magazines NEED "attention whores". Theyre the people that sell magazines, that audiences want to see/read about. It's a win-win situation for the magazines and for the celebs. Who are the magazines going to put on the cover? not models...most people cant name one model outside gisele, heidi, etc., and theyre more like celebrities now. The model culture of the 90's has been gone for a while now. Jennifer Aniston, who has nohing whatsoever to promote other than her divorce, was int he cover of VF ans was their best selling issue EVER...it doesnt hurt that the issue wa sthe much coveted september edition chock full of fashion ads that the women that care about Aniston's story will also want to buy. People dont do something to DESERVE being on mag covers, if that's what you imply. MAgs just want popular stars that people want to read about. The jobs of mags is to get attention to their advertisers and their advertiser's spokesmodels.. whetehr theyre advertising a movie or a perfume or whatever... all three of these women (Demi, SJP, and JLo) are fronting multimillion dollar advertising campaigns for all sorts of things...clothes, perfumes, films, sex and the city dvds....
