here is a sequined dress that i got this past summer..
i've worn it once so far but would love to work with it more in terms of mixing it with different fabrics/textures to wear it more casually..

the dress is from mango...
it's a mix of sequins and metallic beads that it's embellished with..


i'm hoping to play around with it a bit and cover up the top portion so that it looks more like a sequined skirt.. but to also have some shiny bits peaking out at the top..

if i ever figure out a more creative/less straightforward way to wear it i'll be sure to snap a pic and share

I've always been attracted to sequins when shopping but have never really bought a sequined top or garment. I only own a black tank, with black sequins in the bottom.

I think the main reason I'm attracted to them is because I'm very big on beading,and I guess sequins are the next best thing. I don't like the striped sequins look though.

I have seen so many people in the last few months wearing jazz shoes, lace up pumps etc. totally covered in sequins .. i think it looks fab .. thinking sequin berets bit tired now and over done .. but still great. were i live the sequin phase has kinda past but kinda a flash trend

Punky - I'm loving the tops, especially the 1st one you posted. Did you find them at vintage stores or on ebay?

You both made me want to purchase a blazer and a top STAT! I've got two sequin dresses, but you can only wear those once or twice a year. The blazer can be added to spice up any outfit, throughout the year.
