Used to shimmering effect by day; by night sequins give glamorous gowns show-stopping appeal.

Ah yes, matte sequins do look beautiful.

I love how Lanvin used sequins in s/s 04, the look was undeniably glamourous but still done in an almost understated way.

We had sequin overload here this past summer, due to sass & bide using them extensively in their collections and other designers here following suit including all the chain stores etc, and everyone's sick of it but I still love it. :D
They can look amazing when worn in a contradictory way.

'mainstream' glossy sequins are everywhere mainly on t-shirts sometimes ending up to look a bit.. tacky, so i'd only wear the matte/metallic styles

almost bought a sequin blouse yesterday, but i'm not sure i'm in the mood for sequins this summer

I love sequins, but you have to be carefully on how to wear them - they can easily be turned into something rather tacky.

I really like the sequined look too . . . I have a pair of multicolored sequined flats that I bought in January and literally wore almost every day (so they're really beat up and missing lots of sequins but it's not too noticeable). I get tons of complements on them and they were great for travelling because they literally match EVERYTHING and are comfortable so I would only have to bring one pair of shoes as I flitted around Europe while I was abroad last semester.

Anyway, love sequins!

^ your flats sound cute chrissym - I would bet anything they're even cuter beat up and missing a few sequins ^_^

I'm a bit mixed on sequins...sometimes I like them, but I've not been attracted to them at all this summer. I think it is because it'd been overdosed in the highstreets for quite a while now... but they can look nice if worn carefully, with the right type of outfit and colours. :flower:

i have those sequin flats too, only in bronze/gold. i get calls on them whenever i wear them out.

my "SHINEY" shoes. hehe

thats so true utopia, sequins 'broke out' exactly a year ago...
remember those long sequin scarves that everyone was wearing in London last summer?
they were sold in street corners when i last visited London in late Januray (to me this is like the end of any trend when i see things sold down the street peddlers)

and what about those shoes kimair? who's by?
the green ones look yummy
