I couldn't even draw it on paper like that, let alone actually make it. That's why it's great looking at all the wonderful things some people can create.

Well I made a dress, veery sloppy, but it learned me that you really should plan how you want it to look and not try to finish it as soon as possible but to actually pay attention to details. So my next dress, a grey one, I have already started to plan and I will take help from my mother on that one as well. SO hopefully the next time I post a picture in this thread it will be something I myself can go about.

Anyhow here is the one I made now, actually it's not hemmed yet so it's not completely done. I think I'll wear it with a cardigan over, mostly to cover up the sloppyness.

yep, rightguard that would be a good idea to bring a picture, ask for heavy, thick, chunky knit fabric.

After watching a friend devour the clothes she purchases and customise them with a simple touch of a sewing needle and some thread, i rattled myself as to why i never thought of applying the same idea with unworn items i have stuck in the back of my wardrobe. It's resulted in being a little harder than i imagined and getting it right the first time has been proven difficult. With a bit more practise i should get the hang of it, as i love the idea of making something personally yours by just changing it slightly to suit you that little bit more.

This is my first blouse. I've made patterns for dresses, skirts and knit shirts, but this is the first time I've successfully drafted a bodice block from the book that I actually finished. The sleeves and the collar pattern were also drafted by me. Took a while to get everything right. I think I did about 3 mock-ups because the fabric was from when I went to the Philippines a year ago and I only had about a yard or so of it, so I didn't want to mess it up.

so this is the ~Big Bruiser~ [or the B.B.] in various stages of progress. the 1st 2 photos, the outer fabric is actually inside out. and on the last i am just working on the topstitching. and the handle still needs to be attached.
