Since gaining weight, I only have one pair of pants that fit me, and since I've blown all my money on makeup, I want to alter these pants so that they're something I can actually wear (since I don't have the money to buy new ones).
Didn't know which thread would be best for this, but since I'll be making alterations, I'm asking here. The pant is a side zip khaki petal pusher. The cuffless leg ends at about 1/3 up my calf. I feel that they are just too long. When I wear my short socks and running shoes with them, there's only a few inches of skin visible and it looks like I'm wearing pants that don't fit. The fabric is 100% cotton, and the leg is a straight wide leg (ie. no flare). Any suggestions on the best length for a pant like that? Is there any interesting detailing I could do at the end. I feel that since it's a wide leg it might look silly no matter how I cut it.
I'm 5'6". If that helps. I will try to post a picture later so you can get what I mean about it feeling too short to be a pant, but too long to look like anything else (good atleast). Until then, any suggestions would be great.
