wow!! those look so fantastic dior couture!! the wedding dress and the sequins dress must have taken a long time!
Actually, both were actually pretty easy. I mean, the pattern is very simple. The fabrics were just messy, that's all. It looked like sequins had exploded all over my house...I'm still finding magenta sequins everywhere! It only took me a little over a day to sew it all together. The wedding dress was a pain because it had little small faux pearls on it and the pearls broke three of my needles! So, after three broken needles I finally realized that I should just take the pearls out of the seam...so I had pearls everywhere in my room! The floor was covered in pearls and sequins!

Actually, the fur collared coat was the first thing I've ever sewn.

^hehe..oh i see. so the magenta sequins dress, it's a premade sequins fabric, yea?
they both still looks cool. i should make some dresses for myself XD

^I'd recommend a Brother machine.. which is what I bought after reading many reviews of machines around that price range! Singer has the familiar name that seems most trustworthy, but I've read some bad reviews about newer models.. There are some very good deals on amazon! Check them out!

I like sunstar better, ive tried both brother and singer but sunstar works better for me

i'd second that choice on brother machines...with singer coming up close behind...

Here's two of the first tops I've sewn..

It's so much fun, although I usually make minimalist pieces!

^wow! I've been tried so many methods (papier mache'..ew) but this seems like a good one. Was it difficult?

It was a little difficult. The tape has to be placed to fit your body, which takes a little time (about 2 hours). You are going to need some one who can help you with that. I couldn't move my arms after the first layer. The stuffing-part was pretty easy though.^_^

Hemming Jeans

As much as I love jeans, dealing with a perfect fit but an incredibly long inseam can be fustrating. Do any of you know any professional ways to hem jeans yourself? I have seen the DaciaRay hemming tutorial but it seems like the extra fabric would be too bulky. Thanks for any responses. :flower:

it's rather simple to hem jeans. depends on it your trying to do a vintage hem, wide hem or basic rolled hem, but they're all fairly simple to do, just make sure you get th proper thread. :flower:

don't you also need a stronger needle for denim?
