Shailene Woodley

Her style is a complete mess. They put her in these fancy dresses but they don't style her hair (I know styling short hair can be challenging, but there are ways to make it look like you put some effort into it) or put nice, flattering makeup on her. And then her posture and hang loose signs? I don't get it. She seems like such a lovely person, but I can't stand what she's been wearing for this promo tour.

Agreed, don't like any of it. Such a mess.

^ Adding to that, there was an interesting piece on Tom and Lorenzo's blog about her style, in reference to her orange dress:
It’s a great dress, but she does nothing with it. Very little makeup, gym hair, no color on the nails, almost no jewelry at all and ugly strappy shoes. She’s one of those rare people who literally has no style at all. Lots of people say they have no style, but everyone usually follows some sort of template, even if it’s Regular Dude or Nice Girl; Office Drone or Stay-At-Home Mom. We know Shailene’s very crunchy granola in her so-called real life, but she doesn’t even express that side of herself well. She should. Like every single other style template (including Mom, Office Drone, Nice Girl and Regular Dude), Hippy-Dippy can be appropriately upscaled at times when a little upscale is called for. And if she’s Hippy with a side of No Frills (which seems close to the mark), then you get yourself some hemp fiber gowns in a minimalist style and put on one piece of natural stone, metal or wood jewelry and if you choose these items well, you won’t have to do much more than that. We’re all for expressing yourself in your clothing. What bothers us is not that she doesn’t wear nail polish or diamonds; it’s that she picks dresses that kind of require such finery instead of picking outfits that truly speak to who she is while presenting a polished version of it to the public. That’s what public appearance clothes are for.

Of all the newly shorn starlets I think Shailene got the best haircut. Jennifer Lawrence looks like a soccer mom now. Shailene's cut still looks youthful somehow.

I've actually liked a lot of her outfits. The simple shift dresses were all nice. I think the she needs to leave the fancy stuff like the gold Elie Saab alone since that clearly does not reflect her style. The black jumpsuit and the Black blazer and pants are her best looks IMO.

I actually like the black and tan suits, she looks great wearing those imo
as for her weird posing... maybe she´s nervous and overwhelmed? she never posed like that before, did she? :ermm:

Ask almost any actress on the red carpet for beauty secrets, and she’ll invariably say “Moisturize!” or “Use sunscreen!” Not Shailene Woodley. When asked for her best tip at Tuesday night’s L.A. premiere of Divergent, she said:

“Get in a bath and look at your body and be like, ‘Wow, thank you so much for hosting my mind and my heart,’ like as women you know, and also be pregnant with the world. I think that’s really beautiful beauty advice, like, close your eyes and think about all of the other women out there who aren’t in positions to be on a red carpet in Hollywood tonight enjoying this beautiful weather and all of these beautiful smiles and put those women in your womb and be pregnant with them and send them love.”

While that may be easier said than done, Woodley has offered up some simpler-to-follow (but still slightly out there) beauty advice in the past. If you’re looking to follow the Woodley plan for shiny hair and great skin, try some of the below tips.

*Get plenty of sun below the waist. “I like to … give my vagina a little vitamin D … If you’re feeling depleted, go in the sun for an hour and see how much energy you get. Or, if you live in a place that has heavy winters, when the sun finally comes out, spread your legs and get some sunshine.”
*Ingest clay. “I’ve discovered that clay is great for you because your body doesn’t absorb it, and it apparently provides a negative charge, so it bonds to negative isotopes. And, this is crazy: it also helps clean heavy metals out of your body.” (Into the Gloss has more on her favorite types of clay.)
*Swish with sesame oil for a bright smile. “It’s amazing! It really makes your teeth whiter, because the plaque on your teeth is not water soluble, it’s fat-soluble. So the lipids have to dissolve in fats, which is why oil works in your mouth.”
*Keep shampooing to a minimum. “I basically have horse hair. It’s so low-maintenance … When it was long, I used shampoo from Living Libations, but now it’s really short. I only shampoo it like once a month—the oilier, the better.” (Check out Into the Gloss for even more of her favorite natural beauty products)
*Good skin comes from good humor. “I can tell you, all of my friends in their mid-thirties and early forties laugh a lot and have no wrinkles,” she tells PEOPLE. “That is the secret to good skin. I swear. Everybody has this big thing about chemicals and facials but it is just laughter.”
*Take charge of your beauty products. Woodley has been making her own soaps for years. “When I was 15 … I started studying indigenous peoples and their lifestyles because I was like ‘What does healthy mean?’” she tells PEOPLE. “Part of that is just knowing what is in the products you use and the foods you eat — the happiness, being positive — it all contributes to it.”
*Make the most of your evenings and mornings: “The thing that’s most grounding for me before bed, though, is when I wash my face. To wash my face and nourish my skin and cleanse myself of everything that happened through the day.” And the next morning? “The second I wake up, I scream very loudly [to the tune of 'Good Morning' from Singin' in the Rain], ‘Good morning! Good morning!’ And then I scream out, ‘Exciting day! Exciting day!’ I feel like it completely sets the mood for the whole day.”
*Embrace the you you are. For Woodley, that means going makeup-free almost all the time. “I realized that, growing up and looking at magazines, I was comparing myself to images like that—and most of it isn’t real. I don’t really wear makeup that much anyway, so part of it is just a selfish, lazy thing … I want to be me.” (Read more at Interview)

Glad I'm not the only one who is enjoying her looks. They seem to be very 'her', even the more formal looks. It all seems easy breezy and carefree. I'd rather see her look like this than overstyled.

I hate the poses, though, which make her seem a little stiff. Somebody tell her to take those hands off her hips.

I also really want to see her in Christopher Kane again. It's been a while.

Ugh, no, hate it, seems all wrong for her vibe. I think I need to stop visiting this thread, her style on this tour is seriously bumming me out.

I don't understand why she keeps going for these heavy, mature, overwrought gowns. They're ugly, for one. And for two, they don't seem like they fit her personality.

I think that the biggest problem is that it doesn't match her personality at all. Such a shame.

Well, anyway, Im posting a few HQs ;)

I guess I'm in the minority again because I think she looks fab in the white dress. Her hair and makeup are gorgeous too.

I actually really like the white dress, its super glam and flattering I just don't think it suits her very well, she seems more young and funky and this seems like she's trying too hard to look mature.

IMO
I love the white dress, she looks gorgeous.
All these "she´s trying to look mature" comments are the same kind of comments she got with her Valentino dress at the Oscars... just because she´s wearing a a long sleeve/no tigh slash dress she´s trying to look mature? check out that cleavage, it adds enough sassiness to the outfit.
All that said, she should fire her stylist. She comes across this person on her interviews that doesn´t translate to her RC outfits, with the exception of the dress on March 18th. I get that she tries to look professional but she could still dress more her own vibe.

She should hire Cher Coulter, who styles/has styled Kate Bosworth and Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Teresa Palmer, Lizzie Olsen, amongst others. I think their vibes would match up nicely, and she'd bring out that earthy Shailene inner beauty to the outside. I only like Urbanati's men's styling.

Her style is all over the place. I feel like her stylists are trying too hard to turn her into a "fashion it girl" when her style is much more laid back and carefree.
