Shampoo And Conditioner

does anyone use Nioxin?

my sister used it for like four or five months and since then her hair has grown a lot! not thicker but it seems like it grew faster. i think i will try since i really want to have my super long hair back!
I have wondered about Nioxin for awhile. I am trying to grow my hair out as well. I thought it only helped with thickening, but if it makes your hair grow more quickly, sign me up!

^ I go to an Aveda salon, and my stylist recommended Sap Moss for its moisturizing properties. I have always found it to be drying though.

Kerastase Bain Oleo-curl & Oleo-curl definition cream.
(wavy, not curly and this is no miracle worker either)
should really go back to Bain Satin 2

^^ The Shampoo is really good but the conditioner is light, so if you have damaged hair it's not that great.. but I love the smell!

I use Kerastase styling products and have always wanted to use the sham + cond, and I have wavy hair.. so hmm..

^ The smell is good. My favorite smelling Aveda products are Shampure though. I sniff my hair all day long.

has anyone had a problem with garnier leaving your hair feeling kinda greasy

Rene Furterer! I cannot recommend it enough! :)
I stopped using drugstore products as my hair is very very dry, and I would never see any results besides washed hair. I used Kerastase for some time too, and it was really good on my hair. But now, after changing to Rene Furterer - Karité line (very dry hair) I think I will not change any time soon. It's a bit expensive, but I am really happy with the results, it's worth the money. My hair is so soft it's umbelievable. I recommend it to everyone with dry hair. :flower:

SpookyGirl, where can you buy that shampoo? I've never heard of it before, but it sounds great!

^ Thanks! I have a Sephora gift card and have been wondering what to buy with it. This might be what I get! ;)

Cosmogrl5, I buy Rene Furterer products in hair salons, I don't think this brand can be bought in other stores. I use the shampoo and the hair mask (cream). I think you will get better results using shampoo + mask, or at least just the mask. This hair mask is extremely thick and nourishing, in my opinion it's this product that makes the difference. :)

^ Thanks! :flower:

I went on the Sephora website yesterday and found the products there. The mask sounds really good. My hair is super dry (a combo of damage and the fact that it is slightly curly), so I am trying to get it into really good condition. I am also in the process of growing it very long. Hopefully, the mask will work well. :)

i have a new favorite shampoo/conditioner... i was using kiehls, which i LOVED, but i just tried alba organic and it's a billion times better and half the price. it smells AMAZING and is so moisturizing and good. i forget which is which but one is gardenia and one is plumeria or something... the conditioner is so thick and nice, i totally recommend!!

Cool! I just wanted to tell you, from personal experience, don't just apply the mask and leave it on the hair. If you have some time, use your fingers as a comb and run the mask all over the hair (except the roots, if you only apply in the ends) pressing it, to make it penetrate on the hair (I hope I'm making sense :p) and take some time doing this. This massage really helps the mask to penetrate on the hair, you have to do it since it is really thick).
I really hope it works on you too! :flower:

OJON shampoo and conditioner!! The second ingredient in it is Shea Butter; it also contains coconut, wheat and pure Ojon oil. It makes hair so conditioned, soft and shiny!! A lot of people at MUA were turned off by the smell (tobacco, leather and incense basically), but I love it...I imagine it smells a lot like Charlotte Gainsbourg or Johnny Depp

I have been wondering about their shampoo. Have used other products of theirs and like some don't like others. What type of hair do you have?

^^ my hair is stick-straight and probably medium-thick. it's very rich stuff, so if your hair is fine it will definitely weigh it down. i agree that some of their things are great and some are iffy - but i am very very pleased with the conditioner especially.

I use Aveda and would highly recommend it. I use the camomile shampoo and rosemary mint conditioner. Besides smelling wonderful, they are all natural and work wonders on your hair!

I use Redken, I really love it and it smells lovely. At the moment I'm using Extreme as my ends are pretty dry and horrific but I usually alternate between All Soft and Blonde Glam.
