Shampoo And Conditioner

Pantene ProV is quite good but it doesn't really do anything for dry hair.
Herbal Essences is bad but L'Oreal Pearl Shine is just horrible. I regret using it cause it f***ed up my hair!

i got the tresemme volumizing mousse but insted if volumizing my hair it makes it more flat and i really want and love volume for my hair i use sunsilk shampoo anti flat hair but makes my hair really dry i need some good volumizing products :(

^ I've had the same problem. Tried layers, getting shorter hair, using volumising shampoo, volumising conditioner, volumising mousses, gels, teasing, only putting conditioner on the ends... Nothing worked until I got a new hairdresser who seemed to know a lot more than my previous ones. He gave me a bottle of this: Redken Headstrong firming treatment for fine hair. It is only available for purchase for salons though, so I think the only way to get it would be to ask your hairdresser. I did check in a store myself, but could not find it.

He also recommended changing my shampoo and conditioner to something for fine hair instead of flat hair because if you have the wrong shampoo and conditioner it can weigh down fine hair and make it flat.

That leads me to my question (for anyone who knows): what is a good brand of shampoo and conditioner for extremely fine hair? Please don't suggest anything too pricey as I'm far from being rich!

^This may be on the pricier side but Frederic Fekkai just came out with the MORE line, which is a shampoo, conditioner, overnight treatment, and daytime styling whip (mousse probably) that are specifically formulated for fine, limp hair. It is pricey but you could just get a piece or two every now and then.

Also on hair masks, I actually keep a wide-toothed comb in the shower since I deep-condition at least once a week and it really helps get all the product through.

D&G fan...if you're having problems with volume, what I suggest is getting a root lifter spray. Of course, me being a Fekkai addict, I recommend their root lifter however there are probably some out there that are good but not $19.50 a bottle. What I do though is after I towel-dry my hair, I flip it over and spray some root lifter into the roots-about 6 sprays at different places-and then I'll stick my hands into my hair and rub with my palms the roots and my scalp and it REALLY helps me out.

^ thanks for the help :) im going to try that hope it works on me too

Thanks for your help. :flower:

I checked out the price and it is a pity you have to purchase the whole kit. If I could buy only the shampoo and conditioner separately I would consider it, but $100 is too pricey for me. Thank you for your suggestion, nonetheless.

Do you have a Sephora near you? If so, I would try there because you can buy the pieces separately.

i was using phyto ultra dry, but it made my hair gross. i determined the protein was no good. I am switching to the rene furter karite conditioner(which has no protein)
I am also using the aveda universal styling creme as a leave-in. i like frederic fekkai glosing cream, but i want to test this out too.

its a good way to determine if the shampoo would be good for someone else....

oh, haha. i was wondering why you were asking.

well, it's a really great hair care line. a bit pricey, but the bottles are huge and well worth it. :)
